Is there a word that you can't say correctly? I couldn't say "superiority" for a few moments a few minutes ago.
I tend to say words like "Inventory" the American way. A few people have given me strange looks before because of it.
most of them because i have really bad pronunciation issues
especially words like steak, photography, and specific (or any variation thereof)

inventory is pronounced in-vun-try rather than in-ven-tor-ee. i know cause my mom loses it every time i say it the latter way lol
my friends take the mick over the word oven because myself and the majority of my family say aw-ven instead of oh-ven. It must be an islander thing lmao
I can't pronounce the word fluorescent I end up saying 'flur-lecent'?? I also only learned how to say miscellaneous like a year ago I always thought it was 'miss-cal-eh-nos.
I have mispronounced many Pokemon. Unown, Rayquaza, Druddgion, and Mantine are some of the ones I learned how they are pronounced from Pokedex Pro for the 3DS. Porygon 2 also gave me trouble because I wasn't sure if the 2 was just a number or an exponent since Porygon is digital and computer programs use numbers. I kept calling it Porygon Squared.
Sometimes I struggle to pronounce "notoriety." I would say "Nuh-TOR-ee-ety" when it should "No-to-RAI-ety." Satiety is another confusing word. I used to say "Say-shi-ty" thinking it was pronounced the same way as "satiated," when it's most commonly pronounced "Suh-TAI-ety."
What does satiety mean? I've never heard that word before. Also I thought for awhile that meme was pronounced as "may-mee" not "meem."
Satiety:
The quality or state of being fed or gratified to or beyond capacity : surfeit, fullness
The revulsion or disgust caused by overindulgence or excess

also who pronounces chimney as "chimley" because i'm afraid you're banned

oh. i pronounce it both. 'invuntry' is when im feeling especially lazy tho lol.
when people say 'ideer' instead of idea like where did the r come from???
Another random word I can't pronounce is the name of that fruit called a physalis (sp?) I end up saying the name of a similar sounding std instead lmao
Earlier today I pronounced hypno (hip-no) as hype-no. What is wrong with me???
EDIT: how am I supposed to say Quagsire?
I think it's pronounced quag (similar to the word quack) sire.....
the name master you have messed up in your own thread
those are words you
don't know how to pronounce, not words you
cannot pronounce
like i
don't know the correct way to pronounce certain words, but I 100% struggle at pronouncing the word RURAL. I know how to pronounce rural, but I have a very difficult time saying it.

I
cannot pronounce Quagsire, because I
don't know how to pronounce it.
If you
don't know how to pronounce something, then you
cannot pronounce it correctly and therefore is technically allowed....
You'd pronounce it the same way you pronounce quagmire. In other words, "quag" (rhyming with bag) if you're american, or "quog" (rhyming with dog) if you're british. At least, according to google, anyway.

you can probably physically say quagsire correctly
there is no pronunciation that allows me to say rural
I used to think that farfetch'd was pronounced farfetch-ed, but it's pronounced farfetched.
Hyndai confuses me. I've heard people pronounce it so that it rhymes and sounds like Honda but then my dad and I pronounce it as "Han-dai" with emphasis on the I.
Commercials pronounce it Hun-day.
^This is what I mean. I've literally heard five different ways to pronounce Hyndai that I don't know which is the correct one!
Well first off it's spelled Hyundai, so it should be hi-yun-day but the commercials shorten it to hun-day. Any other pronunciation is just being weird.

Roo-Rul. But then again, you guys say 'Squrrrrrrrrrrrrrl' instead of 'Squi-Rul'
I think we can all agree that Hyndai is pretty confusing trying to pronounce and that no one knows the right way to say it.
Well it's a Korean company, and the way the Korean alphabet system works, they use syllable blocks. It looks like this 현대, so we can see there are two syllables. The first syllable 현 is Hyun (ㅎ = h, ㅕ = yu (u like in bus), ㄴ = n), and the second 대 (ㄷ = d, ㅐ = ae/ay) is somewhere between day and deh, I think I'm leaning more towards day personally but heyho. If it was something like "hi-yun-day" or whatever it would be 3 syllable blocks. 히연대 maybe? Google Translate pronounces that mostly the same though so maybe I need to study the alphabet more haha.
So I'm pretty sure it's "hyun day" in terms of pronunciation. Here's a Google Translate for anyone who wants to hear the Google Translate lady say it. (https://translate.google.com/#ko/en/%ED%98%84%EB%8C%80)
I'm surprised you gave up so easily considering you know some Korean, Captain Jigglypuff!
I only know some Korean and all that I know are terminology in the martial arts i study. I am not fluent in the language.
The only Korean I know is 'Oppan Gangnam Style!'
i don't think there are any words which i physically can't pronounce like there are ur standard cross-person differences w the whole my-graine/mee-graine thing
but i have days where i just blank and like,,,, can't speak properly. usually it's not that bad and i kind of get halfway through a sentence and then i'll stumble and skip on to the next few words and people will get what i mean. it's not like a long words thing i've had days where saying Tiananmen is no trouble at all but i'll get through that and then i'll stumble over a word like star or lots. words where the tongue hits the same place in the mouth for a different sound
i think it's a dyspraxia/adhd thing idk im pretty sure its to do w my developmental disorder stuff tho
im dyspraxic & i get that a lot too shrub. its called childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) or verbal dyspraxia
I'm just a flubmaster general, especially at work. All the words are hard.

We say Skwer-rull, fyi.
Rur-rull is the same as roo-rul, but it's still extremely difficult.
