Gold, Silver and Crystal Data: Missing in Action |
Picture the scene: You are just a few Pokémon away from being crowned effectively "Pokémon God" by the Game Freak crew, yet you can't find the remaining monsters anywhere! Why? If you are observant you may have noticed that you can't get Celebii (left) in any version of the game! This is because it is essentially the GSC version of Mew. The only way to obtain this Pokémon is by attending some sort of special Nintendo organized event. There you'll find a special machine that you slot your cartridge onto, and then you'll be a Celebii. In this day and age, I think it'd be fair to say the chances of another of these events popping up is nil to slim. Another way of obtaining this little critter is to use a Game Shark and cheat. Micheal Harper tells me that the code 01FBEDD0 lets you meet a wild Celebii. 010719D1 makes all wild Pokémon shiny- you could have as many shiny Celebii's as you want!

Another hard to get Pokémon is Mew, which you can also only obtain by events and cheating. The Gameshark code for Mew is 0197EDD0. You could use this in conjunction with the shiny code to get shiny Mews! Again, thanks to Micheal Harper for finding these out.
