Pokémon XD hosts a whole new set of Shadow Attacks, shared amongst the Shadow Pokémon. Each Pokémon will have two of these attacks, and whenever they are used, there's a chance the Shadow Pokémon may go into Reverse Mode. This is basically the same as Hyper Mode was in Colosseum, except you will still attack that turn, and will reveal recoiled damage everytime you attack. Just like in Colosseum, simply use the "Call" option to get the Shadow Pokémon out of Reverse Mode (this also greatly helps in purifying the Shadow Pokémon).
