Hello, so yeah... I'm bored. So time for a guide =D Okay so back in previous games there was an option on your menu called "Mystery Gift". This lets you get event obtained Pokémon and/or Items, which are not obtainable in the game. The items are Key Items so you can't give them to a friend, but some items you can mix records to give to people. Not known on D/P yet, but on R/S/E you can for the Eon Ticket. The main items expected to be obtainable at some point at the Azure Flute, the Member Pass and Oak's Letter (letting you obtain Arceus, Darkrai and Shaymin respectively).
I want my Mystery Gift! Or else I may have to eat someone... mainly, you Sappy!
Great, I'm going to get eaten... I taste good with ketchup apparently... But, anyway go to Jubilife City. Go to the TV station and talk to the man chatting up the girl on the 3F. He will ask you a question say "EVERYONE HAPPY" then he'll ask you another, so say "WI-FI CONNECTION" then he will sign you up with Mystery Gift. You can now save and restart to see it, if you want to. You can even poke it!
Okay, I'm at an event and now I'm wondering, how the hell do I work this thing... Don't make me eat you
Okay so press mystery gift and click "Receive Gift". Unless you want to exit for some strange reason. You get three options. The first option of "Get From a Friend". This allows you to receive from a local DS (i.e. within a stones throw of yourself). Basically the unofficial method. "Get Via Wireless" is the second option, and by clicking this it will scan the area for any event machines. The event machine will then give you the Item or Pokémon you are supposed to obtain! The last option "Get Via Nintendo WFC" lets you go Wi-Fi to obtain your Item or Pokémon. You must have an internet connection to make this work though. This option does cast potential doubts on the possibility of future Nintendo events. Gasp shock horror!
So yeah, that is how to get and work Mystery Gift, something vital to have in official Nintendo events!
Thanks to Sappy for this!

thats gifts by the way not gits dam my hitting the wrong key XD
No.8 as well yey!?!?!
I think you can only get mystery gift if somebody phsically near to you has one, you are near an event machine or there is an event on and Nintendo are doing something on Wi-Fi so big that the internet dies and the whole world has to wait weeks for it to come back. lol
nice
If your friend received the mystery gift from a wireless, you can receive it to, not from the source but from your friend via the "get from a friend". The Wireless is an example of the items you'll get from an event and from the Battle Revolution. Mystery gift from the WFC is something we might never expect.
