Diamond, Pearl and Platinum Platinum: Rotom | C'mon out Toaster!

Let's get something out of the way: it's not a legendary. I don't care what music it has, it's not a legendary.

Rotom can however do magical things in Platinum. I know what you were thinking as soon as you saw Rotom in Diamond and Pearl. You were thinking: "I bet he'd look good in a toaster. Or a fridge. Or a washing machine." Well after a few steps in Platinum, you can achieve exactly this.

1. You'll need to unlock Mystery Gift first of all, so let's remind ourselves how to do this. Initially find the Producer on the 3rd floor of the Jubilife City TV Station.
2. When he asks for your first opinion say EVERYONE HAPPY.
3. When he asks for your second opinion say WI-FI CONNECTION.
4. Congratulations, you just unlocked Mystery Gift. Now you need to wait for Nintendo to release the Secret Key via Wi-Fi. Don't panic, this isn't another Aurora Ticket fiasco. It actually looks like they'll be releasing this one. We'll announce on the front page whenever it'll become active, and all you've have to do is connect your DS to the internet and select "Get via Nintendo WFC". Alternatively, come along to one of the PKMN.NET Official Summer Meets if you can - you can download one there.
5. You have your Secret Key? Lovely stuff. Go to any PokéMart to get it.
6. Go back to the Galactic Eterna City hideout. As soon as you get inside head straight for the top-left corner. Right into the corner and use your Secret Key. Woo, moving walls.
7. You have a Rotom right? No? Well aren't you the stupid one. Come back with one and go into the new room. Admire the appliances on offer.
8. Click on any appliance to have Rotom possess it. It's not permanent - press A where the original appliance was and Rotom will return to normal.

I know what you're thinking. "That's all very well Mike, but why on earth when I'm battling Darkrai, Giratina and other world-threatening forces of evil would I want to send out a fridge or a lawnmotor to battle it?" Fear not - your Rotom can learn a new attack depending on the form you choose. It'll lose that attack as soon as it leaves that form though. Bah, humbug.

I am kicking myself in the shin right now, because the moment I finally get Wi-Fi, the only recent Wi-Fi event to be available is Platinum only. Frost and Wash are my favorite designs. Everyone loves Mow Rotom, though. Am I right? =)

I have come up with names for the Rotoms! Mowtom and Blowtom other people claimed, but I came up with the rest! Frozetom-The fridge Rotom O-tom- The oven,toaster, microwave whatever it is. If you want it to be a toaster, you could call it "Toastom" instead Rotortom- Wash Rotom (referring to the spinning), it's really hard to find a better name for it and I've tried for a few days
