Gift Pokemon

Like previous games, there are characters in the game that give out gift Pokémon.

Pre-National Dex

Eevee

The first gift Pokemon you come across is Eevee which is found in Castelia City. You will find Professor Fennel in a building near the gym, and if you speak to one of her assistants they will give you the Eevee. This Eevee is special due to the fact it has its Dream World of Anticipation.

Zorua

The next gift Pokemon you come across is the elusive Zorua in Striaton City. After helping out one of the Sages from Old Team Plasma, he asks you to look after N’s Zorua.

Deerling

Remember where the Weather Institute in Black and White in Route 6 (Unova)? If you head there and speak to one of the scientists, they will give you a Deerling, which has its Dream World ability of Serene Grace.

Post-National Dex

These gifts are only available after receiving the National Dex and can be gotten in any order.

Magikarp

The salesman is still there on Marvelous Bridge, 2 years on. He is still offering that Magikarp at the low price of 500 Pokedollars.

Happiny

When you arrive at the gatehouse when going into Nacrene City from Castelia, speak to the Pokemon Breeder and they will give you an egg. Hatch it and it will be the adorable Happiny.

Archen or Tirtouga

When you enter the museum the first time you will get greeted by Lenora. She will then give you a choice of two fossil. Picking the Plume fossil gets you a Archen, while the Cover fossil gives you Tirtouga.

Other Fossil Pokémon

Here is another familiar face, the digger at Twist Mountain, and yet again he gives you one fossil per day. These are the fossil Pokemon of previous regions and again if you take them to Nacrene City Museum they will revive them.

Gible and Dratini

After beating Alder’s grandson in Black Tower or White Treehollow, head to where Alder is in Floccesy Town and his grandson will come and visit him. Depending on where you beat him, he will give you a special gift of a shiny Gible or a Dratini.
