probably just a corridor for a bigger cave and this is just a room that leads to another corridor. it could also be a beta seafoam (after cinnibar was destroyed of course.) sece seafoam has two entrances. the map only has 1 entrace in the final. of course it could also be blank space that was going to be used for something and was scrapped but left in the game's programming as a placeholder to prevent cheating device hackers from crashing the game.
