Missed the whole HD-DVD boat.

Miramax Films (Those chaps that distributed movies 4 to 7 in the US) and Echo Bridge Home Entertainment have announced that a Blu Ray combo pack of the 5th (Pokemon Heroes) and 7th (Destiny Deoxys) movies will be release on May 15th in the US! This would mark the first ever Pokemon Blu Ray release anywhere in the world, even beating Japan, and further proving the old saying that you wait so long for one...

Not to be outdone, Magna Pacific have also announced 2 movies coming to Blu Ray in Australia! Arceus and the Jewel of Life and Zoroark- Master of Illusions will each get a separate Blu Ray release on June 1st! What also makes this interesting is that Australia and most of Europe including the UK share the same region code, Region B, so unless they encode the discs not to play outside of Australia, they should work on your UK Blu Ray Player! America is Region A, but a lot of companies offer region free titles, so again, another chance they could also play on a UK Blu Ray player (Or even THAT console that plays Blu Rays, but could you imagine watching Pokemon on one of those?).

Will Viz offer Blu Ray movies next, or even the TV show since it airs in HD too? Might Warner offer movies 1 to 3 on the fabulous format? Will 3D be next for the Ash Ketchum's big adventures? Will Miramax FINALLY offer Destiny Deoxys in some shape or form in the UK after over 5 years? Why am I asking you these questions?
