Rhubasaur
After the rhubarb plant. The stalk is nutritious, yet the top green part of the leaf can cause toxic symptoms.

Bruteroot
I always name my Venusaur this, in honor of the Venusaur from Pokemon: The First Movie, that tried to fight Mewtwo's clone with Razor Leaf, but was defeated by Vine Whip. I know you're gonna hate this one, 'cause it's the same one from the movie, but I suck at nicknames. Hit me with your best shot! And not that crap about knowing that I suck at nicknames! No "admitting you have a problem is the first step" or anything like that! I want a decent insult! COME AT ME!

The Name Rater says...
Admitting you have a problem is not the first step for someone that's beyond help. Also, Pokemon the First Movie was bad and the nicknames were worse.

Well, I'm keeping it short and simple... and it slightly has to do with the fact that Dinosaur in Polish is Dinozaur, but that's completely different...

Carrion
The Carrion flower, also known as the "Corpse Flower" smells like rotting flesh when it blooms, once every 40 years. I got the idea after seeing the flower on Ripley's Believe it or Not and it seemed to fit. I imagine Venusaur's flower would smell like the rotting flesh of its victims.

So that's what the bad smell is? I thought you'd followed through and seemed proud about it.

Posie
Posies are bouquets of flowers, and are also featured in "Ring Around the Rosie", which is an old nursery rhyme about the black plague, keeping with the poison half of Venusaur's typing as well.

Poison Ivy
Venusaur is a Grass/Poison Pokemon with a poisonous flower on its back and mostly use vines as an attack or as hands. Real Poison Ivy has poisonous leaves attached to vines and often has poisonous flowers. Also can be a tribute to Poison Ivy from Batman.

Plantosaur
Venusaur has a tree on it's back. A tree is a plant in case you didn't know Mr. Name Rater, and the "Osaur" part came from the fact that it is a Dinosaur. I put the two words together and got Plantosaur.

Flora
Flora has to do with plant life, and when I got my bulbasaur it ended up being a girl. So I figured it's a good name for a female bulbasaur, iveysaur, and venasaur. It's probably been used before but whatever... I like it.

GreenGiant
Venusaur has a height of 6'07", along with an enormous weight of 220.5 pounds. So using the term "giant" to describe such a pokemon would be quite a sensible choice. Also, since Venusaur is a grass pokemon, and as grass is green, we can combine the words Green and Giant into GreenGiant.

Toadsworth
While Venasaur is a dinosaur in all, he looks like a toad to me. But all the cliche frog names make me sad so I thought about how the parasitic plant on its back worked with its lifestyle....then got distracted and thought of the old toad from Mario.

Wart
In Super Mario Bros. 2, the final boss was an enemy named Wart. Perhaps you have heard of him. He was a frog, and the only way to kill him was to throw veggies into his maw when it was agape. This relates completely to Venusaur. Also, a question for The Name Rater. Are you by any chance, a redditor?
