was slightly surprised that jenny didn't get her own series or something.. then again we already had Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures so.. i dunno, hur. But still.. not convinced that we'll see her again unless she's regenerated and become river song omg so.. could happen. Or she'll just be forgotten, hur.

...on the subject of spin-offs..
torchwood's to have another series in 2011, a sort of UK/US medley subtitled "The New World". Or something
It'll be a ten-part series. Based around someone other than Gwen, it seems. Though the article also mentions Jack returning to earth due to his "unstated love for gwen" so.. oh dear.

and while I'm posting news links..
The new DW series will be split in two, one bit in the spring, one in the autumn. With cliffhangers, of course.
And a quick summary of a Moffat interview thing

11.36am: Trailer for the Christmas special! Moffat: "Watch it and wait." Amy saying "time can be re-written". Doctor saying he's "the ghost of Christmas past". Short but sweet.

11.37am: On next series: "You will find out who River Song is. Definitely."

Wow, split the series in half? Isn't that sort of what was done before the 90s? Well I can't wait for this then.

"Unstated love for Gwen." Would that be the same love that had him bed Ianto and spend about a millenium chasing The Doctor?

Well it was Moffat that convinced RTD to have her come back to life at the end, so I think he may still be waiting for the right opportunity...

Also, from what I've heard, there might not be Dalek's in this series because Moffat said something about “There will be a Dalek story when we’ve got a good idea for a Dalek story.”
Yes.

@jenny-resurrection: oh really?
that i did not know, ta.
now I'm just expect moffat to do something interesting with the character. huh.

and.. as for daleks.. well, they'd planned out all the special ranks for the new daleks with their colours and everything, so.. i assumed they had something. So maybe not :v

i guess that "Victory of the Daleks" didn't exactly go down as well as the others even though it had daleks serving tea so.. if they want to wait a while before writing another one.. makes sense i guess.
though i'd say that it's too late to say "we don't want daleks for the sake of it" because.. they really are something habitual now, right? though a series without them may be good. You watch some series and it's not "i wonder if they'll show up".

[vaguely] speaking of which, Gatiss has another story for this series which the director seems to like, so that's nice.

"Unstated love for Gwen." Would that be the same love that had him bed Ianto and spend about a millenium chasing The Doctor?

that'd be the one. 'Cause gwen is a special snowflake, which is why she got a happy ending after Children of Earth while nobody else did.. despite the fact that she was generally useless and annoying and cheated on rhys with with owen and i don't even know any more but i'm rather glad that we're getting a new character
someone else to be annoyed at <:

Daleks are quite an important part of the show. Guess 1 Series won't hurt, but I'll miss em :<

Think the football that day played a part, but the ratings werent impressive for a Dalek ep from what I heard.

It was also a pretty weak episode that any other alien could have been better used in tbh.

I wish they would have 2-3 series now without either the Cybermen or the Daleks... it gets old.

The proms was awesome~~!
That kid was brilliant. He deserves an epic badge of epicary.

Also, Tennant and Smith getting all votes? It's a sad day in Doctor Who history.

that'd be the one. 'Cause gwen is a special snowflake, which is why she got a happy ending after Children of Earth while nobody else did.

Despite my normal hatred for using the word in that context I could almost agree with calling her special. At least River manages to forward the plot in character.

I mean we were told that River was pretty much a cross between Agent Gibbs (NCIS) favourite lust object and James Bond so her escape from Storm Cage in the Pandorica two parter was classic River.

Being from the new generation fan of Doctor Who, along with my sis, I'll say David Tennant. Though my favourite part in Doctor Who is when the Eleventh Doctor got harassed by Amy Pond, played by Katie Gillan (did I got her name right? And is she Scottish?)

Right on both counts... I prefer Amy and River as a tag team though.

I saw that too... I am actually more interested in how they are doing this for the DS.

Press the Sonic Screwdriver button on the lower screen and imitate the noise through the mic?
