whats bugging me is the sheer ammount or people 'praying' for japan.  ive seen it everywhere, especially on deviantart. and just... for one, theyre a mostly atheist country, and for two, what has god ever done for anyone, if he was real. the bible is just full of god killing people via various disasters.

so stop bloodying PRAYING.. and do something that actually helps like donate some money! geez.

Mostly atheist? Really? Last I heard, a high percentage of the population were Buddhists/Shintoists.

And as for people praying; let them. If they think it helps, what harm is it doing.

i know theres no harm in it, per se.  im not angry at them all, i just get a bit fed up (and i see it so often) people just thinking that god will fix it, and if things do get fixed by human aid and money donations, theyll thank god!  and i just think its unfair.

I'm not sure they even need monetry aid, I mean they have a stronger economy than us and are extremely well prepared for such disasters. We should offer our support should they request it, but not take pity on them and force ourselves upon them.

I'm fairly sure that's the standard UK reaction to any disaster;

it's what we're used to, what with all these telethon things such as comic relief and children in need. I can't help but be glad that I donated to comic relief [during the 24 hour panel people.. albeit at two in the morning, slightly drunk and because stephen fry said please] before david tennant appeared and told us that every year people watch but DON'T donate YOU MAKE ME SICK because i would likely not have done it out of some rather misplaced spite 
 
So a knee-jerk reaction makes sense. 
thinks that blackmail with guilt annoy me. 
so, almost every single charity that wants or needs money 
But how else are they going to get it, really? If one charity is showing you pictures of what you personally are allowing to happen by not donating and one isn't, then the money's more likely to go to the former to alleviate some guilt. Maybe. So it's the standard. aherghrdunno. I don't even know how much money ever helps any of these things, but I'm a sceptic who believes that things like an end to famine and war and cruelty isn't going to happen. 
Though that doesn't mean we can't try 
and no, don't think that praying does any harm even if it is seen as having no purpose other than taking one off the heat of the guilt hob 
 
 
I only came into this topic to complain that the milk on my cereal had gone off. 
And I've just realised that my phone has gone missing. Bugger.

It was more of a "I feel sick from eating cake and cheesecake but want icecream what do" but the thought of my current diet being cakes and icecream did cross my mind.

I'm due an absolute proverbial arse-kicking tomorrow at work.

All because my manager had asked two others to do something, then told me to work the Saturday morning like I'd been fully informed and had a say in the above. One of the lads driving a vehicle buggered off and whilst I was panicing trying to sort it out, another kid told me he needed to nip home and pick his kids up as his missus was going to work, so I let him go rather than saying I'd drop him off. So I got told off for that.

And something that was meant to be done didn't get done on Friday so I mentioned it to my boss three times yesterday morning, and I've got this horrible, sinking feeling it'll have slipped his mind, and I'll be due a big shouting at tomorrow for it.

a cake and ice cream diet sounds like a good idea

well there's probably strawberrys on the cake or i dunno grains in the flour and the cow tree you know that thing where they get milk from there you go two/three of your five a day
