My laptop reaaaaaally doesn't like using iTunes or Spotify... scrolling through webpages makes iTunes skip really badly through songs, and Spotify crashes far too often to be usable for me.
Sooooo I use last.fm for music nowadays. I very rarely get adverts and it's a perfect way to make me listen to stuff that I promised myself I'd try. And it has some really obscure stuff I haven't listened to before (like Saint Vox) because it's generally unavailable to me. The app is pretty awful though, it looks ugly as hell and doesn't do as much as I'd like it to which is why I'm not paying to play music on my tablet through it. I'll just add music from my iTunes to it and listen to that instead.
When buying music I prefer to buy CDs rather than digital downloads (and I'm starting to appreciate vinyl, having paid to have Theatre Is Evil across 4 different vinyls). There's just something about physically owning an album that makes me feel better than just having a digital copy.
