It's all about preference, Dick. I prefer using sylvie, which has been deemed OU by smogon, to blissey. Sylvie isn't as bad as everyone says it is.

But there's  no reason at all to use Sylveon.

Calm mind set - outclassed by Reuniclus, Meloetta hell even Togekiss does it better

Wish - Vaporeon, Umbreon, Togekiss

Heal Bell & Wish - Blissey, Togekiss

Soooo... Why would you use Sylveon?

Like, you can say it's preference all you like, but is there actually any logical reason to choose it?

Sylveon doesn't outclass umbreon like at all... They're about equal

Sylveons main problem is that it dies to ANY physical attack. Let's see how it fairs against a switch to CB Azumarill, for example:

Turn 1

Opponent doesn't know your set so attacks, we'll assume he's an idiot and uses a dragon move that does no damage

Sylveon uses calm mind

Opponent now knows you are setting up

Turn 2

Opponent switches to CB Azumarill

Sylveon uses Hyper Voice on the switch to do around 80% to 156 HP Azumarill (Richards recommended set for it)

Turn 3

Azumarill outspeeds (it usually runs enough EVs to outspeed TTar, ergo would outspeed Sylveon) and OHKOs with waterfall.

Do you really think I send sylveon out first? I usually use it to clean up once the physical attackers are gone anyways.

Also, calculations, or it never happened.

 62. That was turn one OF SYLVEON BEING OUT xD Plus the fact you have to eliminate all physical attackers kind for detracts from it's usefulness, at least Umbreon can take a physical hit. Hell, even CHANSEY takes them better.

And sure, I've still got the tab open:

+1 252 SpA Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 156 HP / 0 SpD Azumarill: 306-360 (80.5 - 94.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252 Atk Huge Power Azumarill Waterfall vs. 4!HP / 0 Def Azumarill: 339-399 (102.1-120.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This is using the EV spread 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpD which you've stated you use in a different thread.

It's worth noting that this is assuming you predict the switch, but judging by your CMSpam in battle replays I think it's more likely you'd CM again.

Anyways. I prefer to use obscure pokemon like sylveon, and you use combusken and doublade in ou.

I don't judge you, Dick.

66.

But I don't claim combusken and Doublade to be good xD

Actually, I do with Doublade because it becomes the bulkiest physical wall in the game. 150 Base Defence with an Eviolite boost can take +2 EQs from garchomp, iirc xD

Plus if you're going to use obscure pokemon, use Pelipper xD or Slurpuff
