Was there an option to start said assignments earlier?

You'd think so but not really.

One of them is based on transcriptions & the transcripts we're working on we're only given to us by the lecturer on Friday - so there's no way I could have done that earlier.

The other two are creative pieces so technically they should have been developing throughout the semester but I literally got my first idea for one of them last week (and I submitted that assignment last night go me) and the other one is still drawing up blanks. I've had the worst case of writer's block all term and I'd sit down to write and then three hours later still be looking at a blank page... Not a lot I can do about that.

But eh, one down two to go.

e: toned it down a bit but even so the dude is alley-ooping into "you should have started it earlier" territory, you can just ignore it when people do unhelpful stuff like this cos responding to it makes you look Defensive and lets them feel Smug about it.

Creative work sounds super cool though, like is it just writing short stories and stuff?

Totally gave this cold to my brother.

For the longest of time, I thought that Mumford and Sons were The Smiths. I thought Noah and the Whale were Mumford and Sons and I thought The Smiths was Morrissey although Morrissey is their vocalist but he has his own solo thing?

Yeah :-) one of them is a prose piece - which means a single short story or a selection of flash fiction and the other creative one we're allowed to do prose, poetry or dramatic writing (scripts and stuff). The only downside is you have to write an essay to go with them all that explains your stylistic choices and your creative process and it's so difficult to do!

Anyway, the weather here today has inspired a story!!! I currently have 700 out of 2000 words on my prose piece so I might actually finish my assignments on track? Who knows but it's looking up.

I'd put this in Everyday Accomplishments but I'm already posting here so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

& thank you Beth, although fair enough that I didn't really state in the first place that I haven't actually been able to do these assignments until now.

^ tbf, that's one of the biggest upsets in sporting history

my immune system has gone to pot, I've got a massive headache, my bones are cold and achy again, can't breathe without sounding like a monster either. I had stuff I wanted to do and I still haven't been able to.

I don't think this was just a cold and everything feels sorta numb, like I can feel my fat and it's uncomfortable tbh since it's not something that I can just slip out of unless I'm wearing a really high-end fat suit on. Even my phone feels heavy.

We're not going out tomorrow since one of the girls is working and she would have been giving the other girl a lift so neither of them can come so that'll just leave me and one of the bros sitting there alone and he has recently got a girlfriend so he might have already turned hyper boring. She's lovely and really fun though so I doubt that either of them will turn boring.

We've got to vote too and I'm feeling like a prolapse at the moment. Thankfully it's open until 10.

Everything has gotten worse and my right eye keeps tearing up.

I'd be a horrid fan if I didn't know this, but the new incarnation hasn't done anything of note save ruin QB's and waste the careers of the Joes (Thomas and Haden).

It's less than three weeks until Leon moves home from uni. Which means less than three weeks of not being a long distance couple.

Maybe I'd feel okay about it if I'd known him longer, but it's been less than two months and I don't know how I'll deal with him not being able to come around whenever I need him to.

It sucks so bad because he's the only person I've ever known to feel the same way about me that I feel about them. We had a convo about this on Friday night (at Summer Ball, after drinks) and we both ended up crying. Like why does this have to happen like this??

If it's meant to be it will be I guess 😔
