Topic: IRC and new people

Hi everyone,

So we've been getting a lot of new people recently.  I highly recommend you guys come to IRC.  I know it's empty most of the time, but if you see me (Raven) in there then just say my name (Raven) and I'll respond almost immediately.  When I'm on I'm at my computer and if you say my name you'll alert me.  If there's no one there, just stay for a while and someone will come in and talk.

The link to IRC is here, and some extra tips are here.  The IRC is how a bunch of us got close way back in the day, and I firmly believe that if you get online and talk for a while, we can make it into something big again, and maybe in the process make this great website incredibly active again!

Plus the more to IRC the merrier! Even if I'm on there (on IRC I'm under GL) just drop me a query (which is an IRC personal message) and I'll try and respond as soon as possible. It really is a great feature for the site so utilise it as often as you can =]

And I'm sure everyone will agree with me that an active IRC, despite whatever disagreements people may have, is a place worth speaking on =]

I've not been on soldily since like 2010 or something? The days of #sp and #ayla/bat/sherrin whatever aha. I do come on occasionally but its always dead and I never like starting a conversation :u
might start coming on again, it would be nice to get it as active as it was.

I try to start a conversation every once in a while and it's only worked once. Then again, no one's ever there. When my netbook is fixed, I'll try again.

The past few times I've popped in it's been so quiet; I'd do more to help but the fact I'm working 5 days a week now leaves me with very little time to come in =[

Yeah I've been on really late relative to you guys' time due to either waking up later on the east coast or in general being 7 hours behind closer to the west coast.
