Random Randomness / Re: PKMN.net Photo Topic 1.3

So I mentioned a cosplay I finished over in everyday accomplishments. Well, here it is!

Her name is Aranea, she is my oc, and she is a wolfskin (from Fire Emblem Fates). She's kinda meant to be the daughter of my S/O's oc. And I love her.

Watching all these people in my life with relationships (and problems) and i've never really gotten anywhere with anyone. I really am starting to feel like freaking sheldon cooper

Dude, don't even worry about it. I mean, I'm 20 and this is my first relationship. I wasn't even looking for one, it just kinda happened. There's no need to rush it.

In other news; ow. I've been getting odd pains and they're getting worse so I have to get some tests done but I'm nervous as hell about that but the day we scheduled for it feels so far away and I just want to get it done

Update to the situation regarding my S/O moving to California: they're moving back and they're really upset about it. Even though it means I might be able to visit them if I visit my mother this summer, I don't want them to have to deal with the stuff they were dealing with there... I really wish I could help them...

Long distance relationship hell is real. My S/O moved to California so I end up staying up even later to talk to them, and last night they ended up crying because, partly because we're so far apart and partly for other reasons, and all I could do was sit there, in my room, trying me best to comfort them without breaking into tears myself. I just wanted to be there with them so badly.

Your Art / Re: What are you writing right now?
« on: February 28, 2017, 02:29 »
Right now... do roleplays count? Got a lot of those.
Also have some fanfics I've been slowly working on. Most of them are 'what if this happened in a way that would affect this character more? What would those effects be and how would it change the story/character?' kinda fanfics. I love character exploration.

I'm pretty active in the fire emblem roleplay community, so I've been seeing a lot of fire emblem warriors hype, and have to admit, I'm really excited about that too. We only got maybe a minute long video that told us almost nothing, but ahhhhh I'm excited!

Your Sprite Art / Re: Recolour Sprites

No problem. Like I said, I was in the mood to do those.

Do you have mspaint? That works well for sprites.

You do know recolours are the easiest sprites to do, right? You could probably manage it on your own, no problem. But, I'm kinda bored and enjoy recolouring sprites, so here:

If you want to make more sprites with this colour scheme, then sample the colours from these and use them for other sprites. I suggest you sample the colours from the main body of each, since there are more shades in those. I find it helps if you make a little colour pallet off to the side on your workspace and use that to figure out how many shades you need.

Your Art / Re: Your OCs

Aw man, a chance to talk about my OCs? Why would I pass that up? I have so many, I'd love to tell you all about them, but I'll start with one for now.
BTW,  Sylar, your oc looks really cool! I'd love to learn more about him!

I'll add a picture of my oc after but I'm on mobile atm. Plus the picture isn't done.

Name: No true name. Usually goes by Guardian, Forest, or combinations and variations of that. Sometimes goes by the name of the previous owner of her body
Age: Unknown, really old, she's immortal.
Gender: Female
Species: Spirit, a sort of forest guardian really.

Powers/Abilities: Able to shift between her true form (a small, white, deer like creature with a deer skull for a head and legs that end in a point rather then a hoof) and that of a body she stole from someone else, able to steal the body's of others, though can only keep one at a time, can use some form of magic. Some skill with swords.

Alignment: Neutral good. Would be lawful good, but, well, how lawful can stealing the bodies of other be.

Personality: Kind, protective, basically the biggest mom friend you could have. She protects not only the forest and those who live in and around it, but those traveling through as well. Her current body is that of a swordsman she had befriended while he was traveling through. He chose to settle there for a while, but nearly lost his life when the town near the forest was under attack. He was close to death when he begged the forest guardian to take his body for her own, as she did not have one because she didn't want to kill anyone for it, so she could help protect the people in the town. She reluctantly did so, and was barely able to protect the town. She still regrets taking her friends body, and his life, and thinks that he could have been saved, but she does like having a human body, as it makes humans easier to approach and help.

Goal: She wants to protect the forest and the people who live in and around it. She also wants to see the family of her friend, the one who's body she now occupies, and explain to them what happened, though this would require leaving her forest, which she is afraid to do.

Additional info: She is able to communicate with the spirit of her friend who's body she occupies.
She is a bit of a work in progress, so any of this information can change, but I like where she is now so I thought I'd share.

Sun and Moon / Pokemon Sun and Moon Competitive Predictions
« on: November 22, 2016, 06:42 »
Okay, so, I am no expert on the competitive scene, but sometime even I can see when a pokemon will be likely to pop up in competitive. Case in point: Golisopod

This lovely little creature (note, neither lovely or little, standing at 6'07" or 2.0 m and weighing 238.1 lbs. or 108.0 kg) is a tank. Just look at its stats:

HP: 75
Attack: 125
Defence: 140
Sp. Attack: 60
Sp. Defence: 90
Speed: 40

Though its other stats aren't spectacular, its attack and defence are terrifying! It's water and bug type, which gives it some pretty nice moves, including Bug-Type First Impression, which is a 90 power physical move that can only be used on the first turn and is its signature move, and Water-Type Liquidation, which is an 85 power physical move that lowers defence.

Its ability is Emergency Exit, which makes it so that if it goes below 50% hp, it will switch out. I could see this being used pretty well for clean switch ins. Plus, guess what. Leech Life got a huge buff! It is now 80 power! And this thing can learn it! It could switch out, come back in later, leech someones life away and heal, then, if things get bad, you get another clean switch in. Oh, and guess what else it gets. Swords Dance! This thing is a monster and I have no doubt you'll be seeing it in competitive.

What do you think? Do you think this pokemon has potential to be terrifying? And have any of the new pokemon stood out to you as potential great competitive pokemon?

Inferna, your art is always so cute! Such a cute Dragonite! Your shading is so nice too. It has a really nice, kinda modeled feel, if that makes sense.
