Yeah, both are nice places just for different things. Yorks quite historic, i think, although I've been to Birmingham more despite York being like 30 minutes away and Birmingham being almost 3 hours xD

I know York has.... A railway museum? I remember going when I was like 5 =P

I don't know tbh
I just went around the city a bit, went to the halls and went to pubs for drinks. Was fun, caught freshers flu the first time though lol

York is very historic though. One of the prettiest cities in the country.

Yeah, if I go to a city nearby I tend to go to Durham though, so I very rarely go to York xD

And if it's pubs you want, then the north does them well. It's about all that's good up here, but still =P

Dick is so bad as a counter that he used "Counter" against a Golurk!

Nah, it ran out of PP

That was the point. Unless you are running either Scrappy or Foresight, Counter is useless against Ghosts.

Although I imagine Dick would use "Charm" against it, anyway. XD

16. Well, this conversation has deteriorated, hasn't it?

Tbf, I think I'd probably choose York if it were up to me but it depends if they accept me. I'm planning on doing English Language (as it's my best subject) or possibly English Literature, but definitely one of the two.  I've been to York a couple of times but only for the NRM. I've been to the NEC before too but only because for a couple of weeks every year my Dad has a stall for his company at the business fair. Mum and I went down to see the stall when I was about 9.

Another thing I like about York is (yes, it's been said) it's historical. It's also exactly the same distance away that Leicester is (where Tom is) from my town but in the opposite direction. I know this because when they were deciding where to bury Richard III they couldn't decide whether to bury them in Leicester, York or the direct middle point which just so happened to be my town but they decided not to do that because my town is so grotty haha

17.

I think for the most part if you're not going to Oxbridge it doesn't really matter which you go to for an employer (obviously they're going to like Oxbridge, but if your uni is 17th in the league table and someone else's is 16th they're not going to care) so I'd just visit both cities closer to the time and just decide which is nicer to live in xD

Yorks a lot smaller I think (not small, but like Birmingham is HUGE, iirc) which is Probably better assuming you're not getting a car (because who wants to be paying for a car at uni)

And what are you wanting to do as a job? Is it just 'something English-y'? xD

19.

You written anything creative-ish? I'm assuming you have, so if there's any of them you liked it might be worth running through them, criticising every word and finding more effective ones then fleshing it out a bit and see what you think? A lot of authors write their first books young, so it might be worth at least getting practice now ^^
