10176. ((One really long and convoluted post comin' right up! ;) ))

The wind blew the lower half of the man's cloak to the side, and the very end of it was caught on the revealed hilt of his blade, the cloth writhing in the air like someone hanging onto a cliff and thrusting his legs helplessly. The man drew his sword from the opposite side, picking it up into the air through a low sweep, and stopping it diagonally far out from his head. "I do not exactly know what my lord has against you, and why I have the feeling he wants me to kill you. But however radical this may sound, you've arrived as an enemy of my master and the Kingdom of Real Illusions. You may have read my mind... but I should cut you down and continue on my path," he muttered under his hood, masked to the nose, his appearance adding to the ambiguity of what he was saying.

"Step out of the way. For your sake, I wouldn't want to have to kill you, but if I do... ... you see, the sight of a dead person makes me drool... let's just say," I replied.
"I'll make sure you drool blood..." the sorcerer called out, raising his head righteously, putting eye contact before physical contact, making sure to stare through his enemy.
Sunlight licked the blade of the man's weapon, converting into a green light of energy before sinking into the hilt. He charged up his sword well, using his magic abilities to draw sunlight into the blade, and flew into me with his face forward, charging ahead of the rest of his body, and slowed himself down to slide across the dirt on the side of his feet with his sword out in front like a narrow windshield.

His weapon was stuck horizontally into the pulsing sphere of darkness I held out in my palm. The blade heated with sunlight divided the sphere like the equator and caused an explosion. "Your dark energy is too weak," the sorcerer taunted through the smoke.
"Oh, please. I wasn't even trying; no, that bit of energy was even less than not-even-trying. So that would mean I could blind you even while I'd still be fighting as if I'm trying to lose," I chuckled back.
"But you forget... that I am from the Kingdom of Real Illusions. So I cannot be blinded. I create these kinds of illusions and beyond, so this little resulting effect of our clash gives me the upper hand in this fog... I'm sorry, were you even able to pick up the sound of my voice through these conditions? Following the sound of my voice may just help you track me down in here," the sorcerer spoke, sounding as if his voice was spinning around my head.
This man seemed about as strong as Poithon, and I wasn't used to running into powerful lovely persons like these who were not even of the highest rank and must have had superiors somewhere who were even more powerful. At least, never had I seen a humble-looking underling with this kind of power in the old world. No, never in the old world...

10177. Why do I get the feeling that Dick fell asleep at his computer again... I'd go check, but I can't be bothered getting up.

10178. This is where I last RP'd here.
Quote
The vision goes blank and I open my eyes, moments before my trip through the portal ends.

I land in the new world, none of the others are with me - I must have been dropped in my part of the new world, the nature part of the world. There are flowers and trees and rolling hills and a huge lofty mountain watching over the land, it reaches up into the sky, past the clouds, with no sign of reaching it's peak. This, I presumed, was where the voice in the portal was telling me I must go.
Upon entering the new world I had found myself clothed but not in my own clothes - I was wearing a simple vest top and modest canvas shorts and no shoes. My hair was loose and longer than I had remembered it to be by about 2 inches, It shone gold in the pale morning sun. A long, crooked stick was at my feet. I picked it up and walked off through the gardens towards the mountain.

10182. It's fine  ^.^

Getting tired though... in fact I've been up so long that my throat is starting to hurt from my lack of sleep (have been up since 5 this morning)

10185. Good. Although it appears that Dick's back, so the forum wouldn't be quite so dead now if you left. Still, I'd rather you stayed.
