Older Main Games / Re: In-Game Team Help?

Samurott - All good enough. Maybe X-Scissor (TM81, route 7) or Superpower (tutor, Lentimas town) over Scald, but it works fine as it is.
Salamence - All good
Scrafty - Good
Ferrothorn - Power Whip (Level 40) over Energy Ball. Ferrothorn is better physical.
Reuniclus - Shadow Ball (TM30, Reversal mountain) over Rock Slide. Reuniclus is better specially, and can use it to hit Ghosts well. Also, its defenses are usually great.
Bronzong - Wouldn't have thought this would work too well on an in-game team. I doubt you'll get much use out of Trick Room, and dream eater is really unreliable. If you want sleep, go for Amoonguss, which gets Spore (100% accurate).

There's a link to "Submit a nick" along the side
But he's had so many submissions he can't take any more right now.

Team Building / Re: Competitive Black 2 Team

It's a decent starting point, but:
1. Although Blaziken's Special Attack is decent, its Physical attack and movepool are simply better. Mixed Blaziken has basically no advantage coverage-wise other Physical, so going HP/Atk or Atk/Spd would make more sense.
2. To a lesser extent, the same is true of Hydreigon. Hydreigon gains a few things like Earthquake and Superpower through Physical, making it worth it, but I would usually just go for a special attacker.
3. What is this designed for? Presumably since it's in-game, you want it for random matchup, battle subway, PWT etc., but be aware that some people on forums play by Smogon's rules, which ban Blaziken.
4. Speaking of Blaziken, I'm guessing you're going to go for the vastly superior Speed Boost, which is its dream world ability.
5. Do you know what moves you're giving them? It doesn't look like any of those really need egg moves (as long as you can use move tutors), but it's always good to plan ahead.

I've nicknamed most of my competitive Pokémon...

Volcarona - Mariposa - Spanish for Butterfly, Portuguese for moth.
Accelgor - Sanic - Gotta go fast
Weavile - Tsujigiri - Japanese name for Night Slash. Refers to an act of Samurai testing their swords on innocent people.
Crobat - Joker - He's not Batman.
Feraligatr - TracrGatr - Ge' orf 'is larrrnd
Typhlosion - Shang Li - He knows Swift like a coursing river, with all the force of a great Typhlosion, with all the strength of a raging fire, mysterious as the moveset of a mew
Gengar - Tricksy - Tricks people into thinking it knows Trick.
Tyranitar - Ryan North - Because he's basically a T-Rex.
Ambipom - Simiplain - Like an elemental monkey, but normal.
Rhyperior - Lagann - His is the drill that will pierce the heavens
Jolteon - Maxwell - Electromagnetism dude
Druddigon - Babydoll - It knows sucker punch.
Arcanine - Windie - Japanese name.

For those unfamiliar with 4chan, this picture basically sums up most threads in the run-up to a new game release:

So yeah, this isn't really particularly credible.

Also, there are loads of dual types... and Fennekin doesn't evolve into fire/fighting, which makes me ill to even think about. It's just so much beyond the bounds of our reality.

The Tyranitar is fantastic mate, I've just noticed too that you've gone for an Unnerve one. What're you planning on using it for.. I know it's utterly amazing at drawing bluffs (lack of Sandstorm)..
It's just a general attacker on a kind-of-sun VGC team. Fire Punch in sun with Unnerve overkills an Occa Berry Scizor, and it appreciates the negated water weakness.
Might not end up using it anyway. Quad fighting weakness, even with Chople Berry, is more crippling than I expected...

Been breeding for the first time in months over the last two days:

Horsea (F)
Swift Swim, Calm
31/ x / 31 / 25 / 31 / 27

Larvitar (M)
Sand Veil, Adamant
31 / 31 / 27 / 31 / 27 / 31

Pretty good, I think

Not sure what you mean here; competitively, Scizor is completely preferable over Scyther. Unless you're talking about appearance, in which case, yeah, Scyther all the way. A Bug/Ground Pinsir evo would be kinda neat, since it's almost unique typing (shared with Nincada), and it'd be one of few bugs to not get mauled by Stealth Rock.
Scyther is technically a sidegrade due to the fact that its BST is identical (and in fact the stat distributions, while different, aren't decisively better one way or another), it just happens that Scizor is more useful generally because of its typing.
It's kind of the same as how the Eeveelutions, or the Rotom forms, are technically meant to be balanced, but clearly aren't.

Simple Beam. The ability to make any Pokémon as derpy as Bibarel is awesome!

Favourite move that Magikarp learns?

Struggle Bug is my favourite bug move. It doesn't exactly do much damage, but in doubles it's pretty handy for breaking sash/sturdy, as well as the SpAtk drop, since it hits both targets.

Go! Dragon type!

I think the fact that I've hatched over a thousand eggs in BW means I must be a Pokémon Breeder...

1. You can't be 'good' at breeding
Quote
2. Just because people have started or are starting RNGing, it doesn't make them any worse at breeding.
Surely the second statement is meaningless then?

Aipom (F)
Run Away, Jolly
31 / 31 / 14 / x / 19 / 31
Egg Moves: Fake Out
(Coincidentally, Hidden Power Grass 70, but I won't be using that)

Not the best hatch I've done, but just a quickie after a few weeks off Pokémon.
Also, it's occurred to me that, as everybody I know is starting to RNG, I think I'm actually the best person I know at regular breeding now.

It was my birthday yesterday but when we tried to leave the house, the roads were flooded so we couldn't go anywhere, and none of my family could get here, and none of my friends live less than fifty miles away. Not the best birthday then, but hopefully my party when uni starts again will make up for it...
My parents really like living in the middle of nowhere. :\

Soft reset for the Hawaiian Pikachu a few days ago:

Lightningrod, Timid
2 / x / 30 / 31 / 14 / 31
Fly, Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, Protect
Hidden power ice 70

I feel kind of bad that Fly is pretty much useless, but I guess I can't really overwrite it since it's event-only.

Also hatched this today:

Quick Feet, Adamant
30 / 31 / 23 / x / 31 / 29
Egg moves: Bullet seed

Worked out exactly the right speed to outspeed the genies (and thus almost anything else) when given a choice scarf, gonna try sporing stuff up.
