My boyfriend showed me these today and... idk what to think. I mean, the box art looked kinda official but the video showed no gameplay footage and didn't look very Nintendo-y to me.

Maybe it's just me being weird or whatever, I mean Hoenn remakes have got to the point where any announcement is in automatic doubt, but eh.

ALSO, alpha is Arceus' species name, and shiny creation trio from gen V xD (I'm adamant these will do something eventually even though they obvs won't =P)

i assume they were keepin it on the down low for the sake of hype which is why corocoro didnt cover it

like how beyonce and fall out boy just slammed out a new album out of nowhere with no hype whatsoever and the excitement got it for them

people have been asking for hoenn remakes for years, they wouldnt need hype for announcements when the fans are doing it for them

it's probably because nintendo has been keeping it under the wraps as much as possible. that probably includes any beta footage they have.

Well, I just checked the US Pokémon website and the UK website. Unless this is some sort of elaborate hoax (which, given the names I thought it was), this looks to be confirmed.

I hope they bring back Secret Bases. Toss in a ton of extra customization options and I shall be a happy ninja. Oh, and maybe the art style of X and Y, trainer customization, etc. You know, keep the things people liked.

With that in mind, I'm wondering why they called the games Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Shouldn't the Alpha and Omega be the other way round since Ruby and Sapphire are always referred to in that order?
