"To be entirely honest with you, I don't actually know what's in here." Reiru murmured, slipping the satchel off of her shoulder.  "Before I went to follow you guys... Kalea, the Blaziken you probably saw when Keira was kicking Ryu's teeth in for him... she made me take it. Knowing her, it's probably a general survival kit. ...I hope they're still okay." Reiru mused, pulling the bag open. Her snout scrunched as she recognized the bitter herbal smell that she couldn't help but associate with Kalea's tough love method of healing.  You don't have to like it, but it does the job.
"Hm. Rope, Arceus knows where she got that. Needle and thread,  probably for stitching wounds, you'll need someone significantly more nimble with their hands than I am for that to be any good. Pouch that reeks of bitter herbs, probably medicinal... a roll of bandage, my megastone... good to know where it got to... Why the devil did she give me a Fire Stone? I can't use it. A journal of some kind and..." Reiru froze as she saw the painfully white stone, the size of her closed fist, nestled in the bottom.  "So that's where that went..." she muttered,  and pulled out the journal, to give it to Fleur.  "Will that do for noting down what we know about Keira? My name's Reiru by the way. I did tell you earlier, but it was a bit chaotic, so I don't mind that you forgot."

Reiru took the Potion gratefully, and waited as Fleur grabbed a stick to light the fire. When she explained that it would help Keira, Reiru nodded. "More than you probably know. How warm she is... well... This is just speculation, since she never told us outright. That flower she has, I think it's an indicator of how healthy she is. When I first met her, it was black, not quite shriveled, then, after a while with her in a fire, it became white again. It never went that dark again, but while we were travelling, especially through the wintery regions of Sinnoh, it did go ashy grey a few times. And when she was hurt, it would darken as well. Heat helps her recover strength. It's a bit different to the way Flash Fire normally works, but..." Reiru shrugged, and then seemed to process Fleur's question.
"I... Well... Back in Kalos there is... I mean was, a 'camp' of survivors of the Doomsday Virus, run by a Gengar. He took in all of us, taught us how to take the Doomsday Pokemon down, and made sure that if we found survivors, we'd bring them back, and give them what care we could. That's how I met Keira. Innis..." Reiru paused, remembering Innis holding off the Doomsday horde in Johto, yanking fetid water from the ground, pummeling everything that came at him with water and fae energy. Him yelling for them to run, get as far away as they could. His screams as they overwhelmed him. The explosion of water, in his final moments, as he pulled all of the water within a mile to him, attempting to wash away the disease. Fleeing. Pouring rain. Kalea returning to the site, bringing a scoured white stone from the river bed. Painstaking care to carve words into the stone, words in the language Innis had such fascination with.
"An nì a thig leis a’ghaoith, falbhaidh e leis an uisge*. What comes with the wind, goes with the water." She hadn't even realized she'd said it out loud, as sorrow crashed on her like a wave. She hoped Kalea still had the stone, although she couldn't remember seeing it after that night in Johto.
She also hoped that there wasn't enough left of Innis to become Doomsday, because Reiru doubted that she could bring herself to fight the brave Azumarill.
Mei... Luis... Innis... Tanith... Probably Sunny... Arceus knows how many Doomsday... I've got blood on my claws, and no matter what I do, I won't be able to wash it away. If I fail to save Keira this time... I won't deserve this life. There is no making it right, no repentance. If there is a hell beyond this world, then surely the deaths I have caused will send me there.

((*Do me a favor, and don't ask for pronunciation. I can not pronounce Gaelic. Maybe ask Shaymin.))

Reiru struggled to her feet. Her side was numb wherr the Buizel had hit her with the Ice Punch. But she wasn't going to fail Keira again. "She may not forgive me. I failed her badly. She might not even accept my help." Reiru said, and was airborne before Fleur would be able to reply.  From an aerial perspective, it looked bad. She saw several different fights going on, including a clearly Psychic type fighting a Scyther with two weapons that looked familiar.  She also saw the burst of heat that had come from Keira.  She just hoped that there weren't any friendlies near the hit zone that didn't like fire. A lot of small fires started around Keira, and the small fox collapsed.  Reiru had a thought, and hoped that these d-day Pokèmon were smart enough to have a self preservation instinct that drove them. She remembered, back in Hoenn... The group had been about to be overwhelmed by a swarm of d-day Pokèmon when, out of nowhere,  a rampaging D-Day Salamence had come. It's roar alone had been enough to scare off the swarm.
And now Reiru was going to try and replicate that. She took a deep breath,  and bellowed a roar, a deep, booming dragon's challenge, that the Charizard hadn't known she could perform. If she hadn't known that she'd created it, her instinct would have been to run.
You aren't even a real Dragon. You can't even fool yourself,  let alone a horde. You'll fail again,  and Keira will die,  and it will be all your fault for posturing, rather than getting in there and helping her. Useless idiot.

((Sorry this has taken so long. Inspiration's been lacking.))

There was someone talking to her. It wasn't a voice she was familiar with, so she could be pretty sure it wasn't a figment. She decided to respond out loud, hoping that whoever was talking to her did actually exist. "My name is Reiru. I'm not infected, but I've come close before. I... Failed Keira the first time. I owe her better. I want to make it right."

Something slipped into Mikhial's 'bubble', a jangled, snarling mass of thoughts, that the Alakazam identified instantly as a Doomsday Pokemon's thoughts. He yanked himself to the side, just as a blade came whistling at him. It sliced through his mustache, but didn't manage to draw any blood. Mikhial opened his eyes, and pushed his bubble out to expand how he could help. There were newcomers, but they seemed to be fighting the Doomsday Pokemon as well, so they weren't worth focusing on. The Scyther on the other hand, was an immediate threat. Mikhial started levitating the white sword, even as it steamed in the chilly air. The Scyther took this as a challenge, and lunged at the Alakazam with a screech of rage.

23
((sorry for delays))
When Fleur told him what the situation with the watch was, Mikhial nodded in affirmation, before settling into meditation. If someone touched him, it would rouse him, but for now, he was drifting through his expansive memory, seeking a better time, a safer place. His 'psi-bubble' grew smaller and smaller, until it only just surrounded him. He floated easily off of the ground, still within easy reach if one of his teammates needed to wake him quickly, or for that matter, when Fleur would wake him for the watch.
~~
Reiru waited to attempt to approach Keira's group until it was dark, and almost regretted it. The temperature dropped, worse than even Sinnoh. Her meagre sense of self preservation had her pressed into the opening of a hollow tree, her tail held in numb claws, keeping the flame close to her chest. She'd somehow managed to doze. Not for long, and she could only hope that the other group were still awake, because she knew that if they weren't, and the scout woke them, they would assume she was there for a fight. Actually, they'd probably assume that anyway. For a moment, she wondered if this was really a good idea. What have you got behind you? That Blaziken threw you out, told you not to come back. Her mental voice (was it even hers?), sounded bitter, spiteful, full of hate. Reiru could never imagine having sounded like that. You're useless. You fail everyone. You should just turn around now and beg forgiveness from that chicken, and hope she kills you fast. Useless, waste of space. Run back to your safety. Pathetic. Without realising it, Reiru had started walking, back to where she had come from. Then... She heard something. It sounded like conversation, although she couldn't make out the words. Forcing herself to change direction, she hoped that this was the group she wanted, not a group of intelligent doomsday Pokemon.
Without realising it, she was speaking out loud. "Have to help her. Make it up to her. Can't go back. Got to help Keira this time."
Then, as snow blurred her vision, and the howling wind obscured her hearing, something cold exploded against her side hide, and Reiru went sprawling. Her face was flat in the snow, and she heard that cruel voice start up again. Just stay there. You're no good to anyone. You'd be better off dead. Just stay there and freeze to death. It's more than you deserve.

Gaming / Re: What Games are you playing right now?

Been playing Psychonauts on Steam lately. Enjoying it, but Black Velvetopia is a pain. After that I'm probably going to either play Shadow of Mordor, or Dark Souls 2. Also trying to get through ff8, and Devil May Cry on the ps2.

Um... Something went wrong with the article. The most recent one listed is still Mew

It was getting close to nightfall. Mentally, Reiru cursed. This would mean she'd need to go on foot to make sure that she didn't overshoot the others. She dropped lower, until her feet crunched into the snow. The cold made her grimace. Although at least the snow wasn't as deep as it had been back in Unova, or worse, back in Sinnoh. For a moment, she considered cursing Arceus, but she knew by now that he didn't listen, to either curses or prayers.
Carefully, slowly, she walked, following the footprints she could see in the snow. It would start melting soon, spring being so close.
She moved forward with trepidation, knowing that she couldn't turn back, but uncertain if this other group would have her.
~~
When Keira and Fleur agreed to stop, Mikhial nodded in recognition, but continued to float himself above the ground. When Keira went to go get wood, Mikhial looked after her, thinking. She takes so much on herself. I wonder if she realises that we would give her... No. Of course she does. She just chooses to only accept help from Fleur. She's had to grow up so fast, in the middle of this whole thing. I hope... When this is over... She'll have a chance to be the child she is.
After Keira lit the fire, Mikhial floated over to the two females "I can take a watch if either of you want a full night's sleep." He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Keira with this statement. "Also, besides whatever had been following us from the air, there's something else. It feels small, and confused. It seems, from what I can feel of it, to be following in our tracks."
((Just clarifying, Mikhial can't sense dark types, or certain Pokemon (mostly the Porygon line, since they're basically living data, and don't have a 'mind'). Just making sure you guys know that I'm not ignoring SCRAP, it's just that Mikhial can't sense him.))

28
((just figuring out, how are SCRAP and 001 going to get caught up? Actually mainly worried about 001 since Cat said that it's a struggle for him to keep up with the rest.))
When Keira approached him and asked if he felt like they were being watched, Mikhial nodded "I do. If i reach, i can feel something behind and up above us. It's flying high, and just out of my range to grab it. I can feel... Regret, and worry. But the regret is the strongest emotion. I can drop back, get myself higher and stop it, if you and Fleur would like."

Starter is done. It's eh but... I'm terrible at starters so...
