I've actually thought about this before. I would go back in time to the release of the first Superman comic, buy as many copies as I could carry, and then sell them in the current time.

If I had a time machine, I would use it to try and work out an absolute chronology for Ancient Egyptian history...

^whilst this is normally a theory accepted as fact, it is still a theory, and I would like to propose an alternate theory (if you dislike science, stop reading now):

Entropy is a theory that dictates everything moves towards a state of disorder, for example the universe is spreading away from each other, out of a uniform pattern. As the butterfly effect dictates, one small action can lead to a slipper slope-esque chain of events that create huge consequence. Logically, this theory should be true, however when considering entropy it is probable that the 2 timelines will meet up, eventually discounting any changes to the continuity of time

(End of sciencey bit) That is only my theory, and the butterfly effect could well be true, and is probably my second favourite theory (in terms of correctness(?)), I like the idea of time travel, and the butterfly effect , to me, discounts any chance of it being possible (would the universe allow anyway to destroy itself so easily?), and as a result I dislike it.

Just want to emphasise that I'm not disagreeing with you, for you could be right, I'm just disputing the validity(?) of the butterfly effect theory.
