Yeah I know I'm walking in front of the firing line here, but I couldn't think of anything better. Plus Murphy is a boss name, in my mind

Anyone who uses the word "boss" as an adjective should be ground up and fed to dung beetles.

Dragalge looks like it smokes WY TO MUCH! Look at its EYES! They look like bloodshot eyes!!! Also, it does uncontrollable stuff like sinking ships that are in its territory. Finally, just look at its body. Drugs can make you have strange eating habbits. Like eating less. That why I chose that name. (It's gonna get a bad rating probably.) Dragalge smokes seaWEED1

I actually don't really know why. It came to my mind that when you become knighted, it is only the quenn who can do such a task. Aegislash is a Royal Sword Pokémon as well.

Metagross
Burden
Because Metagross is one of the heavier Pokémon around, and is difficult, or a burden to train from a Beldum. Burden is also a spell in a game I like. What's more, it's Pokedex entries say that when it hunts, it pins it's prey down with it's weight and eats it with a mouth on it's stomach. Owch.

Excalibur
Whenever I use this pokemon it seems to annoy people. Then i remembered Excalibur from Soul Eater. Since they are both swords with a mind of their own, I decided to name him after Excalibur. (I know in the actual stories Excalibur was nothing but an all-powerful sword, but I'm referring to a specific Excalibur)

I can see why they find it annoying.

Scyther
Scyther
Shrimp
Since Scyther is based on the mantis, I figured I'd expand on that and name it after the mantis shrimp, which is a species of shrimp known for their aggressive behavior, incredible attack speed, and sharp claws; all of which are traits you could attribute to Scyther. It's also a rather misleading name, making people think it's weak, then they only realize how wrong they are when it's too late.
Tue 04 Mar 2014 23:27:16 ESTby dragoncat
The Name Rater says...
Anybody who can look at Scyther and think it is weak is likely the sort of person who struggles to tie their own shoelaces anyway.

A name that has no true meaning, but is simply a name. I came up with this as I began to reach the end of my extensive repertoire of nickname ideas, so I merely began to merge various sounds to form a viable word.

Sylveon
Sylveon
Gliondar
When I began planning what to do with my shiny male Eevee, I came to the conclusion that Sylveon would be the best choice, but it needed a male-like name while still retaining the concept of the pokemon itself. Thus, the Irish Gaelic word for "Delight" came to mind, and this is the result.

I'm sorry what? Something like this just "came to mind"? You need a hobby.
