Nightmare Team

Created by murquhart

A wide variety of pokemon and moves that help each other with a wide variety of moves and damage inflicting moves such as toxic. It is composed of 2 physical sweepers. There job is to finish off a game by sweeping the field with there high attack. A spiner to help me get out of turn draining moves. A special sweeper, same as the physical sweepers except sweeping with special moves. A pseudo hazer to prevent the opponent from using stat increasing moves by shufling the field by using moves like roar. And a hazer which helps by preventing the opponent from using stat increasing moves such as dragon dance and bulk up.
Pseudo-Hazer the Skarmory
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
Moves: Nature: Careful
Defense EV: 129
Special Defense EV: 129
HP EV: 252

skarmory is the tank and the pseudo hazer of the team. He helps out by negating the stat increasing moves the opponent has used by shuffling with moves like roar. His high def and sp def make him hard to kill and a good staller for my team. His toxic can be deadly for the opponent, doing more and moredamage each turn

Toxi-Trapper the Umbreon
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Moves: Nature: Careful
Defense EV: 129
Special Defense EV: 129
HP EV: 252

I've replaced the teams hazer with instead a toxi trapper which is a pokemon that traps a pokemon with moves like mean look then doing damage to it with toxic while healing itself back to full health

Spec-Sweeper the Gardevoir
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Moves: Nature: Modest
Special Attack EV: 252
Special Defense EV: 252
HP EV: 6

gardevoir is the special sweeper of the team, attacking the opponent with high special attacks. Calm mind can increase its spec def and spec atk which can make it harder to kill and also stronger. It can quickly take out enemy's with its psychic and thunderbolt attack

Phys-Sweeper the Heracross
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Swarm
Moves: Nature: Adamant
Attack EV: 252
Speed EV: 252
HP EV: 6

The physical sweeper of the team like salamence. His job is to hit the opponent with strong physical attacks. Its strong physical attacks can be boosted by bulk up and can take down tanks and other strong pokemon

Phys-Sweeper the Salamence
Holding Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Moves: Nature: Naive
Attack EV: 252
Special Attack EV: 6
Speed EV: 252

Salamence is a physical sweeper like heracross and his job is to attack the opponent with strong physical attacks. As with heracross, can be deadly if recieved a decent stat increase such as dragon dance

Spinner the Starmie
Holding Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves: Nature: Timid
Special Attack EV: 120
Speed EV: 216
HP EV: 172

hes the new spinner of the team, advised to me by another player. And I have to agree with him because he seems a lot better. His job is to rid the field of any annoying move like spikes or stealth rock. He can easily heal himself with recover which is good and his high speed, special attack, and special defense make him a hard pokemon to take down

Finally, someone I can take seriously in Squads. Since it hasn't been specified, I'll assume this is 5th gen, though it's difficult to tell.

Cloyster - Cloyster as a spinner is outclassed by Starmie for the most part, since Starmie is fast, it can actually do damage, and Starmie isn't weak to Stealth Rock. If you're dead-set on spinner Cloyster for some reason, this is what you want:

Cloyster@ Leftovers
{Shell Armor}
Bold nature (+Defense, -Attack)
EVs: 252 HP/ 16 Defense/ 240 Sp. Defense
Spikes
Rapid Spin
Surf
Ice Beam

However, this is what Cloyster excells at:

Cloyster@ Focus Sash
{Skill Link}
Naive nature
EVs: 252 Attack/ 208 Speed/ 48 Sp. Attack
Shell Smash
Icicle Spear
Rock Blast
Hydro Pump

Shell Smash once, and kill everything. Hydro Pump for physical walls.

Skarmory - You already have a Spiker, but if you replace your Cloyster with the one I've reccomended, Skarmory becomes useful:

Skarmory@ Leftovers
{Sturdy}
Impish nature (+Defense, -Sp. Attack)
EVs: 252 HP/ 96 Attack/ 140 Defense/ 20 Speed
Spikes/ Stealth Rock
Roost
Brave Bird
Whirlwind

Sets up entry hazards. Brave Bird is so it isn't walled. Roost is instant recovery. Whirlwind is the same as Roar, but not negated by (albeit rare) Soundproof Pokemon.

Weezing- Hazing is a pretty dead strategy. Poison is also a terrible attacking type. Weezing is useful, but not for what you have it doing. Will-o-Wisp, Pain Split, Thunderbolt, Fire Blast is probably more useful so that it's not walled by everything, and it still cripples foes with Burns.

Gardevoir - I've used this. Don't expect it to do well in OU. If this is any generation but 3rd, Trace > Synchronize.

Heracross - Stone Edge > Bulk Up, and give it a Choice Scarf, and it'll be ready for OU.

Salamence - You really want this, as it wrecks entire teams:

Salamence@ Life Orb
{Intimidate}
Naive nature (+Speed, -Sp. Defense)
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 6 Sp. Attack
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Earthquake
Fire Blast

After 1 DD, it kills everything.

So there you go. I really hope this isn't for 3rd gen, or I just wasted an assload of time. You're on the right track, but some things could use some work.

I see what you were going for with this squad, and you did it very wll, just stay away from these types, fire, ghost, and dark, and if umbreon was to get hit with taunt and mean look combo, it would be useless. Try using that combo.
Reshurott Inferno on Mon Aug 1 08:34:17 2011.
Yeah, why not replace Confuse Ray for Faint Attack, or something like that so it can avoid being absolute Taunt-bait?

PM99999 Because Faint Attack is awful and Confuse Ray is much better although it may be smarter to replace Rest for Wish and then replace Confuse Ray with Protect so you can support your team a bit more. Otherwise its pretty good
SirBlaziken on Wed Aug 3 19:57:01 2011.
If he replaced the moves as you said, Loman, umbreon would be complete taunt bait.
Reshurott Inferno on Wed Aug 3 21:13:30 2011.
^Yeah, that's what I said.

^On Umbreon, Payback>>>Faint Attack by a mile.

It's pretty good, and you'd also want Wish over Rest, as it is more reliable instead of immobilising it for two turns.
Richard and Blaziken on Tue Aug 30 05:11:00 2011.
Umbreon is Taunt bait regardless of what it does. It's not powerful enough to do significant damage with Payback, especially since common Taunters include Skarmory and Gliscor, it's not worth having an attack move.
