Fantastic shinies, mates. By the way, I just hatched an Adamant shiny Chespin! My luck's not over yet!

Ha, what once was my shiny Trapinch is now a majestic shiny Flygon I've named Tony. It's got a relaxed nature, but I don't plan to use it too much in battle, and instead keep it as a sort of trophy.

General Pokémon Discussion / Shiny Trapinch!/Favorite Shinies?
« on: November 30, 2013, 00:21 »
First off, I'd like to apologize for my absence on the site. My computer's been in repair, so I haven't been able to board the forums here recently. Now, to the topic at hand.

Tears of joy and disbelief streamed down my face as I gazed upon the most beauteous sight I had ever beheld in my entire life: the odd yet undeniably glorious coloration of my first shiny hatch/first shiny in Pokemon X. In case you haven't figured it out already, it was a Trapinch, deep bluish-green in hue, and truly a sight to behold.

Now, this isn't all about me. I'd like to hear some of your favorite shinies, and how you acquired them. Was it your first shiny? Was it your starter? Was it a legendary? Post anything related to your most beloved shinies here.

(If you've yet to find one, post about which one(s) you'd like to catch, if any).

I adore the Steel-type, so this list was a tad difficult to compile. But, nonetheless, here it is.

5. Jirachi: Jirachi ties into an important personal philosophy of mine that, while too lengthy and intricate to explain fully here, can be explained by me if you request to know what it is.

4. Metagross: Metagross, simply put, is just an extraordinary pseudo-legendary. Boss design, amazing firepower, versatile moveset... what more can be said?

3. Magnezone: My reasons for having Magnezone on this list all stem from personal experiences in using Magnezone in battle, so keep that in mind in case you were wondering about its inclusion. In Black 2, my Magnezone was my main fighter for my team, sporting a stellar moveset of Lock-On, Zap Cannon, Magnet Rise, and Flash Cannon, causing us very little trouble in both the short time I spent in competitive battling and the very long time I spent in-game.

2. Ferrothorn: Ferrothorn sports two of my favorite types, Grass and Steel (obviously), and is overall a powerful and valuable fighter, having access to both Gyro Ball (Ferrothorn's awful Speed stat makes great use of this) and the ever-rare Power Whip. Plus, its incredibly high defensive stats compliment its ability, Iron Barbs, very well. Ferrothorn also sports a rather nifty design, for those interested in the more superficial aspects of Pokemon.

1. Aegislash: Aegislash is definitely one of my favorite Kalos Pokemon, not only because of its magnificent design or one-of-a-kind typing, but more-so for its fantastic signature move: King's Shield. For those ignorant as to this move's effects, King's Shield is a version of Protect that lowers the Attack of any Pokemon by two stages if said Pokemon attempted to use a contact move on Aegislash. Also, its Attack/Defense stats in its offensive/defensive stances are astronomical, thus giving me even more reason to use Aegislash in battle.

'Ello, forum-goers.

My name is MidwayDawnland (you may call me Midway if you like, but it's really up to you how you remember me), and as a brand new member of this here site, I'd like to take a moment to express my formal greetings to all of you and to say just how excited I am to be here today.

I've never been affiliated with any Pokemon forum before, so please bear with my novice air, but regardless of that, I hope to become an upstanding member of this fine community and share my many Pokemon experiences with you all. I hope we have some wonderful times here on PKMN.net, and thank you for your time.

Feel free to introduce yourself, and hopefully we'll get to know each other better.
