My lord, where has the time gone? I'm sure some of the old people might still remember me here, I still see a few familiar faces on this thread as well. Most of the people I see when I lurk (ever more sporadically unfortunately, no time with work and all) are all new to me. Is this the curse of aging? lol

This account turns 10 years old in a few weeks. My, how time has gone by. I just started playing the third generation when I joined the forums. Shocking to think that that was more than a decade ago. And boy have the forums changed drastically (though I swear to god it's still been using this same red color for years now, whatever happened to the l33t skin? That was bad ass.)

Writing my thesis proposal is really getting me rather irate right now.

I love the phrase. The term "you only live once" is such a meaningful statement, telling everyone that they have one life to live, thus they should live it to the fullest without inhibitions or worries, taking every opportunity that's given to you with no regrets and no setbacks.

What I don't like is the connotation attached to it. I hate its current context on the intarwebz, mainly that you should just throw your common sense out of the window and act like an idiot since you should "try everything once since you only live once". I mean it's stupid. In fact, it's quite contradictory to the actual phrase, since most of the things suggested might end up killing your "one life to live".

Honestly, I just prefer the phrase "Hakuna Matata". Hahahaha.
