cash's is a lot more emotional, definitely, but just as a song, trents is better (imo, of course)

Nah I can agree with that to an extent. The music behind the NIN tells more of a story throughout the song (although Cash's is stripped down and works on that emotional basis). Really comes down to preference in styles.
