The Pokemon community has apparently been  taken over, CONQUERED, if you will, by a... master race of giant, spliced cats. And I, for one, welcome our Newtwo overlords... I'd like to remind them that, as a trusted Pokemon fan, uh... I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground psycho-caves.

EDIT: Jokes aside, apparently the new Mewtwo thing really is a new form? I can't tell if people are in denial or if whoever translated this fact goofed up. I'll be disappointed if it IS a new form and not a new Pokemon like Game Freak seems to have been stressing... but I'll still like it.

Well I went from skeptical about Newtwo to loving when I thought it was an all new pokemon. Now I know it's a new forme I don't like it very much at all, surely an awakened forme should look stronger not like a baby version!

Yup, corocoro have said it is a new Mewtwo form...I like it, especially the loop thing on it's head.

I can't speak for other people, but if it's a new Pokemon, I feel that I can just say "Well, it looks okay, but I probably won't use it" and be on my way. But if it's a new form, then it's adding something that I don't love to a Pokemon I do love, meaning I can no longer love the full thing. I don't know if that makes any sense at all - it's kind of tricky to explain. I just feel that it's ruining a perfectly good Pokemon.

 Well, nobody complained when Thundurus, Tornadus, and Landorus gained their Therian Formes, so why is everybody complaining about this new Mewtwo Form?

Because a) Those forms improved the Pokemon, rather than make them look worse, and b) More people love Mewtwo than love those three.

To me as a new pokemon it would have added a lot more to the story of Mewtwo and Mew without tainting a Pokemon that has been loved for how it is for the past 15 years. Whereas as a new forme it doesn't seem as though it can have as deep a meaning to it anymore as well as affecting the original strongest pokemon... I'm no genwunner but I do like Mewtwo as he is.
