Yeah Gen V felt like filler in a very long story. It reminds me of an 'alternate universe' episode of a cartoon or something. IMO Gen IV really opened up a lot of doorways for Pokemon, the connectivity, the legends, I feel like Gen VI is going to fill in that void once the smoke has cleared over 'woo 3D' buzz. I can't wait to see the story of X/Y.

Pokémon had just got more adult with Gen 5. I want that to continue to Gen 6, as X and Y had been hyped a lot and I hope it will be better than the last.

Also, no, Pokémon isn't dying. It's thriving. In fact, this image explains it all why Pokémon will not die out sooner or later:

Here, Pokémon is targeted to kids, but adults like it.

Not true.

Pokemon's primary target audience is the kids - but Nintendo listens very, very carefully to its secondary target audience, which is the faithful old fans who keep playing every generation. Without that, why in God's name would they have gone through all of the remakes? Those are specifically to appeal to older fans, or to let newer fans play their way through the series without having to go retro and thus bringing them into the field of the 'older fans'. Likewise, by opening up competitive gaming and keeping the balance there, they mantain the more complex side of Pokemon which appeals more to adults than kids. They also listen very closely to what their older audience requests, and try to appeal to that.

I love Pokemon, but it's not a game 'just meant for kids' that adults happen to enjoy. It's a game with more than one target audience, and I consider Nintendo very clever for being able to pull that off.

I kinda think it is, the X & Y pokemon look er kinda you know forced. Not very interesting looking. But who cares! I'm just gonna keep on playing until Ash wins the pokemon league. Of course Ash looks a whole lot different now....

Ash couldn't win a Pokemon League if they gave him an Arceus.

The anime sure isn't as good as it used to be, imo. I remember how it was shown more on CN every week.. What I'll say is that it's definitely less popular in the anime case. The games are good and only getting better (or worse in some ways)

Captain Jigglypuff

The BW games (both sets) were darker and had one of the few times where a person deliberately attacks a Pokémon using their own body and not another Pokémon. I'm talking about the Plasma Grunt who kicks Munna in the Dreamyard. Jessie, in the Anime, is the only other human to do this intentionally when she attacked Seviper after it cut off her hair. Meowth doesn't count as she was more annoyed and it was more for comedic effect. The Grunt and Jessie attacked the Pokémon out of pure spite.

Before X and Y I probably would've agreed with you. But it seems like X and Y are sparking some new sparks? I dunno I feel it's a lot more exciting than B/W was. And general feeling is; "X and Y aren't too bad actually ^^"

Yeah, ash is the worst pokemon trainer ever. He has like a level 350 pikachu, yet he still loses to the first gym leader in each region and even lost to some guys level 5 snivy. IF you've watched the original anime, as I have, he hardly even got any of his gym badges legit. For example, for brock, ash was losing, but pikachu's thunderbolt accidentally causes the sprinklers to go on, effectively dousing onix. Misty: Pikachu refuses to fight, but it doesn't matter, her sisters give ash the badge anyways without a fight. Erika: Team rocket sets the gym on fire and ash puts it out, Erika then gives him a badge in return. Sabrina: Ash loses twice and then makes her laugh with haunter, she then gives him the badge. Koga: even though all he talks about is using the dangerous toxic methods, he doesn't use any of them and only uses a friggen goalbat. The list goes on, and this is only the kanto league.

I wouldn't say it's dying, X/Y is pretty good but one thing is for certain - the anime is at the bottom of the barrel.
And that's what the water gave me

X/Y got me back into pokemon, a lot of pokemaniacs are getting back into it for nostalgic purposes so no i dont think its dying at all

Hahahahaha....

No wonder why some call Ash's Pikachu "Godchu". A level 350 Pikachu being beaten by a level 5 Snivy? I mean, seriously?

Anyway, regarding the games, the kids that are Pokémon's primary audience will eventually become the fans as they grow up. I mean, Pokémon is a juggernaut. Nothing can stop it.

I'm totally nostalgic for the old anime and while I think the visual style is much better and some of the episodes had a less artificial atmosphere, it hasn't really changed in quality all that much. The only difference is that it's been the same formula for over a decade now.

I don't really care though, the anime was never supposed to make sense. It's just a animated component of the series.

Let's face it and be realistic here, the anime has ALWAYS been bad. [...]
Thus, the series is an excellent source for YouTube Poops.

No, Pokémon is not dying. Why I say so is because there are STILL trolls in Pokémon trades, and thus, there's interest in the game itself! TF2 is not dying because of scams! No! It is not dying because of the value given to those hats (Pokémons)!

"Pokémon Origins" might have been an attempt to approach an older generation to the anime, and this might be a sign of decadence, but it was well played and the new games are actually being enjoyed by a lot of people, as well as PokéDelayBank.

However, whenever those fresh changes start to fail...
