Rock
Heavy Metal
Thrash Metal
Speed Metal
Power Metal

...notice a pattern? (I could go on and list a ton more sub-genres of Metal like Death Metal/Black Metal/Nordic Metal/Progressive Metal?)

Ahem, other than that...nothing much.

I like a lot of different music, but my favourite genres are definitely Post-Hardcore and Pop-Punk. I think almost all of my favourite bands belong to one of those two genres.

The dual-vocal dynamic (between clean and harsh vocals) in Post-Hardcore is brilliant, and a lot of the instrumental work in the big bands of the genre (particularly Dance Gavin Dance) is always beautiful to listen too.
And then Pop-Punk is just fun, and it always puts me in a good mood. Also big choruses that you can't not sing along too.
My mom bought me this new laptop and it gets really hot when the chat is being spammed. Now my leg is starting to hurt because it is getting so hot. Please, if you don't want me to get burned, then don't spam the chat.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What ever genre Muse are (Because they aren't exactly sure what genre they are themselves!)
Europop (ABBA, Alphabeat, A-ha)
Rock, but only certain bands; Biffy Clyro, Dire Straits, The Eagles etc.
Indie Rock (Imagine Dragons, Bastille, The Black Keys)
Pre-90's Pop (David Bowie? Generally just a load of songs but not bands)
Classical (Mainly Film Soundtracks but I also have an interest in the real classics, Vivaldi, Holst, Mozart, Greig)
Swing/Jazz (Again, no particular artist)
Some techno rock (Pendulum, Prodigy)
Songs from Musical Theatre (Les Mis, Sweeney Todd, Phantom etc.)

ermm..... there's probably loads of others and I just can't remember them.

urg i'm awful at genres and figuring out what genre is what.

as in bands that i like would/are labelled as things like "britpop", "dark cabaret", "trip hop" or "neo-psychedelia" but idk if i'd like everything in those genres.

i really ought to branch out when it comes to finding similar bands to what i like, haha.
this is a very useful site that i need to get around to using: type in the name of a band in the top-right, click on the bubble and it will offer similar artists.

i do like 80s synthpop, though.
and i adore electroswing.
