The sets I can do - it's just that I really don't have the time to do all the IV breeding needed, or the patience. Not to mention that my mind isn't geared for thinking on the fly. By-the-book strategies only work for so long, before somebody comes long with a counter that I can't adapt to.

That still leaves the strategic and tactical elements, though. I'm no good with either. I can respond to basic situations, like when i should switch and when I shouldn't, but beyond that, I've got nothing. I stick to pubbing because the average Joe seems to be the only person I can outwit.

you don't even raise anything, you just input the necessary stuff. There's even an EV slider to adjust the EV's on a pokemon and something to adjust the IVs, just input what you need, and it does it for you.
