Vivillon not showing in my Friend Safari (NOW FIXED BY PATCH)

I have a bug safari that has Combee, Volbeat and Vivillon, and the little images when you enter the safari are only there for Combee and Volbeat. I have caught one Vivillon and KO'd another, the image still doesn't appear. The pattern I got is the Garden Pattern.

I have the same thing, I think it's (this is painful to say) bugged. Dunno if there's a way to fix it or if Nintendo even plans to bother. Not really a big deal though I don't think.

I don't think it's a bug, they'd have to code it to detect your region. The pattern shows up in the mini sprite, and I think the location goes off your DS (I may be wrong), which would mean some sort of changing possibility, and it was just easier to leave it as it was. I don't program, but it sounds like laziness to me.

I'm guessing that the mini sprite will show just for the first pattern, which I think is the pink Meadow one since it shows up first on various sites. It's the one that's found in France, Catalunya (Spain), Lombardia (Italy), Braden-Wurttemberg (Germany), Austria, Switzerland (I googled it). To test this out you'd have to change your region on the 3DS and then start a new save file.

I have the same issue, and I think you're exactly right on what's causing it. It's waiting for Meadow Vivillon to show up in that Friend Safari, and it never will. HA Vivillon still show up though, as far as I know, but the icon will remain darkened.

What country/region is your 3DS set to?

I assume this happens because there can not be just one sprite for Vivillon.

I think the Meadow pattern is not the "first" one anyway, since the order in my Pokédex, with 9 missing, is:-

Polar
Continental
Garden
Elegant
Meadow
Modern
Marine
High Plains
Savanna
Sun
Jungle

I'm trying to collect the rest so I can find out for sure. If anyone has a near complete collection, can they post the order they appear in the dex please?

So the next thing to find out is whether people with the Icy Snow form native to their region are experiencing this bug. The regions for Icy Snow are: Finland, Finnmark (Norway), Russia (far eastern), Nunavut, Northwest Territories

UPDATE: This "bug" has now been fixed by a game patch, and Vivillon is now showing properly. I had to go back in my Friend Safari and find Vivillon again though to get it to show.
