oh naw i'm just hoping the seahawks take it.  Once the Broncos got knocked out it was a foregone conclusion, I could stop the run about as well as the Colts.

EDIT:  Liz you don't even know who #77 is!

he's our offensive tackler. which only makes things better.

edit: apparently the patriots have been accused by the NFL for cheating by using a deflated ball in the game. They're still doing followups on it, but personally, I think if we were gonna cheat, we'd take the risk on someone a bit more difficult than the Colts.

Lord Raven

Balls get deflated in the cold anyway.  That's gonna get blown.

Offensive tackler?  pfft.  That's Nate Solder, your left tackle, he's not a "tackler", he's basically an exterior guard.

I want New England to win the Super Bowl because the Seahawks knocked the Packers, my original SB pick, out by winning the NFC champs.

new england did not knock out the packers, nor are they in the NFC

SirBlaziken

Whoops, forgot to put Seahawks, because I knew what I meant, but you guys probably don't. ^^;

I'm gonna be so deflated if the Pats don't win.

Same way I get deflated whenever the Bruins eff up a two goal lead.

I'm so mad that's actually a scandal.  The only people taking it seriously are the media and the NFL are just responding to the media (and encouraging it).  Coaches and players currently in the league don't give a flying crap.

People for some reason don't acknowledge that the second half of the Pats-Colts game used the proper balls and Brady played better in the second half than the first.  It's the biggest non issue ever.  Not unlike spygate.

What annoys me the most about the whole DeflateGate thing is that Ray Rice KO'd his girlfriend in an elevator, caught on tape and everything, and potentially deflated fooballs are still apparently a bigger deal in the eyes of the media.

Lord Raven

Okay, as a Ravens fan, I will tell you that deflategate hasn't caused nearly as much of a stir as Ray Rice did.

What's crazier though is that Ray Rice's thing was considered a bigger deal than Aaron Hernandez.

^ I just made the observation because my university always has the news on in the dining area, and almost every time I go to eat I see them doing a story on the deflated football. I've seen it at least once a day without fail since the game. Up here I only saw them talk about Ray Rice on ESPN and I believe twice on the news.

Probably because you live in New England.  I wasn't living in Baltimore for the Ray Rice thing (well not the second half of it), but when you have a ton of talking heads calling for the commissioners head over the elevator tape, then it's a much bigger story.  On top of that, the Ray Rice thing happened in like March initially, so there was basically an entire offseason to take it in, whilst the deflategate thing happened before the Super Bowl whose result is going to easily trump this joke of a scandal.

fyi /r/nfl is part of the media, and there is no deflategate megathread.  There were MULTIPLE Ray Rice and even Adrian Peterson megathreads.  Those were definitely a much bigger deal than deflategate.

EDIT:  TO ADD TO THAT...  you also didn't get numerous women's rights groups and everything involved with the investigation, saying that Rice should not have gotten 2 games but way more instead...  and on top of that you also didn't see the commissioner backing out of his own proposition and instead of increasing the suspension to six games he indefinitely suspended Rice based on the same evidence he suspended Rice for 2 games, then trying to lie his way out of it.  This was a major issue with respect to the NFLPA.

This flimsy scandal is really nothing compared to what happened with Ray Rice.

feels like with the way espn is going at it, if new england wins than its going to be completely tainted in their eyes. wish those guys had half of a brain lol

also josh gordon fails another drug test, keep it up your team doesn't need you or anything

SirBlaziken

I think we should wash our hands of Josh Gordon. I know he's talented and all, but he's been more trouble than he's worth. We need to draft someone and cut Gordon.
