So, Primal Kyogre and Groudon's abilities have been revealed: they cause extreme rain and sunlight. These cause other weather-inducing moves, such as Hail, to fail, and also Fire and Water moves respectively are nullified. You cannot use Water moves against Primal Groudon when its ability is in effect. Suddenly might we see a shift in the balance of power between these two?

Also contains game footage of the new Megas (Camerupt, Sharpedo and Gallade) and, er, Rayquaza sitting around doing totally normal things. Might we see Primal Rayquaza, or at least a boost in power to Air Lock?

Weather is also permanent until you switch out!

But groudon will be fantastic, only one weakness which is predominantly Physical (ground) and insane bulk will be awesome! Just needs morning sun and its good to go.

Oh, and Kyogres ability is now confirmed to be Primordial Sea, not Sea of Origin

OH DANG the best legendary (GROUDON) just got better!! And Precipice Blades is such a cool name for a move lol

Awww yeah, Blaziken's Uber buddy just made A-List Uber material. Cannot wait to see how these two weathers interact with each other, especially if sent out at the same time. That will be of massive importance in the Uber metagame.

Unfortunately, I'd say this change is actually detrimental to Blaziken's usefulness alongside Groudon. Weather fades when Groudon switches out, meaning Blaziken can't actually take advantage of the sun, which is kinda the whole reason they're Uber buddies xD

It does help remove one of Blaziken's hindrances, or at least keep it at bay, though!

If Primal Kyogre is already out, and you switch in Primal Groudon, does Groudon's sun not cancel out Kyogre's rain? That's the one thing I really wanna know. Cuz if you can just switch in Groudon onto a scarf'd Kyogre then that's huge. Just get a double dance off on the switch and wreck or something.

Most likely, as the pokemon site says that aside from a rare few the weather cannot be negated. Presumably 'rare few' being the other Primal and Rayquaza.

That's the one thing I really wanna know. Cuz if you can just switch in Groudon onto a scarf'd Kyogre then that's huge.

It'd be able to do this regardless if Primal Reversion uses the item slot (which it better do or these are completely absurdly OP xD), as then Groudon will have his Primal weather when Scarf Kyogre fails to 2HKO with Ice Beam. But if it doesn't take up the item slot theeeeen god save us all xD AV PG would be insane
