Shiny Stories

Basically, discussing the story of how you got your first and/or favorite shiny! I will share mine:

First: I was on Pokemon X near Thanksgiving eve, while I open up the PSS and decide to do a wonder trade. I go to wondertrade and trade away the usual Luvdisc. I see the usual animations and such, when I glance over at the actual trade animation and see the trade of my Luvdisc for a shiny level 100 Heatran. At first, I didn't realize what it exactly was, I knew it was a Heatran, since it said it's name and I knew it was a legendary since I looked it up on the internet, but it wasn't until I battled with it on Route 20 that I realized it was a shiny. I honestly couldn't believe it and I couldn't wait to tell my friend at school. Of course, he decided to act like a scumbag and rain on my parade by saying it was probubly a hacker's work. I don't really care, to me (unless it is an event), a shiny is a shiny and I still love my Heatran.

Favorite: A day later (After the whole Heatran event), I was going back home from my Grandmother's house on Thanksgiving day. I was again playing Pokemon X again and decided to level grind one of my Pokemon (Sadly, I forgot which one), I went to Route 20 once again and went through a couple of the usual Amoongus and the like, when I come across a Jigglypuff with bold green eyes and those signature blue sparkles, I felt a rush of adrenaline and immediately threw a quick ball to catch it, it worked and I got my first shiny that I caught on my own. The hardest part was actually getting a moon stone to evolve it, which required for me to beat my record time of the super training secret super training (That's quite a mouthful) course known as "Drag Down Hydreigon!". After about 10 or so times, I finally beat it, got my moon stone and evolved my Jigglypuff to it's current state as a Wigglytuff.

I would love to hear all of your own stories of how you got your shinies, as I believe that recieving a shiny for the first time really is special and unique as a Pokemon player.

This one time, I got a Shiny Oshawott from Wondertrade. Another Wondertrade thing was the Shiny Lv. 100 Terrakion.

My first was the red gyarados, but after that my first shiny was a shiny zigzagoon I got through an event at the Pokemon Center back when that was a thing. Beyond that... I think my next one was a shiny tentacool, and I was probably like 9 years old, and I freaked out when I saw it and almost shut my game off.

What I think is funny is I was replaying Pokemon Emerald a few months ago and I found another shiny tentacool... I've only found like 10 shiny pokemon, and 2 of them were tentacools :p

 :oI was playing Pokémon Leafgreen and i came across a Venonat in the wild.
I THOUGHT THIS WAS NO ORDINARY VENONAT! It's eyes were blue,
Not the usual red and when I came across it I heard a twinkle and it glimmered.
I was lucky enough to come across a Shiny Venonat and iI didn't even cheat or come across the actual amount of normal wild Pokémon for a shiny to spawn or even use the pokéradar WHAT LUCK! By the way he's now a Shiny Venomoth

My first Shiny was a Durant that literally ambushed me while I was on Route 18 going to the next town. The crazy part is I wasn't even looking for any Shinies and so I caught it and named it "Ambush." Then I came across a Shiny Vanillite right smack in the exact middle of a hoarde and I caught it and called it "Grape Ice." It is now a Vanilluxe and it won the first Master Beauty Contest for me in AS. It actually took down Lislia's Altaria without having been fed many Pokeblocks. All I did was use Mirror Coat, Hail, and Ice Beam and I won.

Then during one of my playthroughs in Black, I literally ran into and caught five Shinies without using an Action Replay. It was just too easy to find them. They were a Purrloin, Deerling, Patrat, Ledyba, and I think a Frillish.

My first shiny ever was a dialga on the first try. I was playing diamond with my normal team consisting with Empoleon, Lopunny, lucario,mightyena, garchomp, and my luxray so I did the normal event and dialga sparkled,And on the first Freakin try I didn't soft reset at all so me being you average kid screamed "Oh My God!" And almost sounded like chuggaaconroy getting a shiny koffing except on a bigger scale.
And what even more fascinating is I caught it with a poke ball on the first try with it asleep and at 1 hp. So yeah talk about some extreme luck

My first ever shiny was a patrat in Pokemon black, I already had a patrat so, I freed it. Yes, I know that was a horrible decision.

I hatched a Shiny Meowth on Christmas in Emerald once. I was planning on sending it over to my Platinum game but then my games were stolen from me. That Meowth was also the ONLY Pokemon that I hatched as a Shiny without AR.
