The first shiny I ever CAUGHT was Gyarados in HGSS, of course.
The first shiny I ever received was a shiny Luvdisc. I traded it away ASAP.

BTW I have TERRIBLE luck with shinies. My first shiny was Gyarados, of course. The Luvdisc was a trade, but I got it before the Gyarados mission. I was so happy. Then, I traded it away for some other shiny. Who knows where that Luvdisc is today...

Besides Red Gyrados from SoulSilver,
Through trading my first shiny was a Cressilia, I believe.
My first naturally caught shiny...was a Mime Jr. I'm not real proud of it.

My first shiny was a hidden surskit i randomly found on my old Alpha Sapphire. luckiest moment in pokemon ever, but i stupidly gave it away on wonder trade.

Besides Gyarados, it was Machop in Crystal. I was really disappointed at the colour.. it was too similar to the normal Machop (at least in that game) ov0

Only games I've ever seen shiny Pokemon in are Crystal and Sapphire.

I called that badboi "BLACKY" - because it must have looked black at the time - and threw an everstone on him so he wouldn't evolve.

Lost him through the transition between games and I can't remember what cartridge he's on.

Grabbed a Wingull in Sapphire, years ago. First and only shiny this one has captured.

I found a shiny Gulpin the first day I had my Pokemon Y. I showed it to all my friends and then for some reason traded it for a ditto. Because I'm a freaking idiot.
