What if it was an... assassination attempt? *dun dun duuuun*

quack98

OBJECTION!!!!

To even insinuate such a matter, you must at least have a motive. You can't accuse if murder without proof, intent & motive.

Wolstenholme

14782. My alibi: I was watching the Strictly results.

quack98

14783. Oh, who got kicked out?

Wolstenholme

14784. Tony Jacklin - the golfer.

quack98

14785. Meh, didn't like him much anyway

lugia95

14783. Motive should be obvious. Power. If one was to work his way down the chain of power, then it would eventually land in the killer's hands. And, say, someone wanted to torment you, Dick. The only two people standing in his or her way would be me and Draghost.

As for intent, the killer would obviously have to be American, given that is where Draghost is. And then we must ask "why fire?" Well, that should be obvious. What if the killer was basing his method off of a favourite character, say... Blaziken?

Think about it. Blaze loves a fire type, he's American, and he has a clear reason to kill Draghost! I suggest that we start looking for evidence immediately!

Wolstenholme

14787. He's just too old to dance. He pretty much gave it up by doing the Charleston!

Nathan.... you should be a private detective.

lugia95

14788. Eh, I like the course I'm on.

massive flaw. Draghost wouldn't stop him tormenting me. You would. Wouldn't he kill you?

Would he leave such an obvious clue?

He wasn't on the forums, for one

14789. My cynicism in bold

OBJECTION!

1. Draghost thinks you're cute and gave you one of the most important roles. In other words, Blaze may see him as a threat, whether he is or not. And we don't know that this was the only assassination that he planned. Maybe I'd have been next, had he succeeded.

2. Yes, I think he would. He's young, and most likely has never killed someone before. It's understandable that he'd make some mistakes.

3. Dick, can you tell me with 100% certainty that there were no guests on the forum at the time of the incident? Or no hidden users?

quack98

14791.

1. But blaze looks up to Draghost... He wouldn't kill him!

2. Not a mistake that blatantly obvious

3. No, there was one hidden (Sebastian Moran) and a few guests, the guests won't have been him though, because his computer would automatically log in, ergo we would have seen him online For 15 minutes!!!

lugia95

14792.

1. True, it seems I was rather quick to assume this was an attempted murder. What if it was more of a... threat? Blaze sets fire to Draghost, with every intention of not letting him die, thus making him realise that he shouldn't mess with Blaze. And suddenly, out of fear, Draghost can't do anything to stop Blaze from tormenting you.

2. There's one thing you're forgetting - Blaze had no idea that Draghost would post what was happening! He probably thought Draghost wouldn't be able to, but Draghost isn't defeated that easily. He would have done everything he could to tell us what was happening.

3. Now this one, I can't argue against. That is, if it wasn't for Google Chrome. You see, Chrome has a special feature - it's called Incognito Mode. When you use it, you can access any website just as you always would, except it doesn't remember passwords or cookies. Ergo, if Blaze were to use it, he could click on the forum without being automatically logged in.

quack98

14793.

1. Draghost wouldn't wield to such a threat. He would merely smite blaze as soon as the attempt was made. Blaze would know this, ergo he wouldn't have set fire to him without intending to kill, which you've already admitted is unlikely!

2. Surely, if this was the case, instead of writing 'I'm on fire' repeatedly, he would have put "I'm on fire, because of blaze" once.

3. But, you've used his youth to imply he would make mistakes, and it is this same youth that would make him remain ignorant to such a feature. Besides, he runs IE.

Of course, the real question; can you prove beyond all reasonable doubt that blaze is the culprit?

Of course not. You have no proof he was at the scene, no intent, and a very shallow motive!

lugia95

14794.

1+2. The only way to explain these is if Draghost somehow wasn't aware that it was Blaze. But Blaze isn't nearly skilful enough to pull off such a thing...

3. Seriously? Blaze runs IE? Wow... But anyway, fair point.

Clearly, you have proven that it wasn't Blaze. However, I stand by my statement that this was a murder attempt! Why? Because there is no way Draghost would be foolish enough to set himself on fire.
