Guess who may be getting his student finance loan through a year and a half after he applied? 
Exciting, isn't it? 
Particularly as they've grudgingly agreed to pay the loans for the first year after all, after insisting that they couldn't 
So they will pay the uni and I can get a refund and pay back the various people I've borrowed money from in order to pay my way through the first year 
 
Marvellous news, all of it. 
Not sure about being happy, but I'm certainly quite relieved.

Meeting with my supervisor for my dissertation earlier went rather well. She was impressed by the amount of research I had already done, gave me M&Ms for being generally amazing, and gave me about 5 references to look into, as well as getting into a rather animated discussion about my topic. She said she even defended it when the other lecturers were saying that there was nothing new I could do on the topic! I'll prove them wrong =]
