Doctor Who is on soon. 
which should of course be course for joy! 
however, I know that roughly ten minutes after it starts, my mother will come in [even though I told her it was starting beforehand] and start having a conversation about why she's late and ooh she just had to put the chickens to bed and couldn't find her laptop and could we turn it down a bit it's a bit loud ooh did you remember to record it for when evan comes back 
and the dogs will start barking and the phone will ring and my sister will come into the room and have an argument with my mother 
 
okay not all of them in one episode hopefully but this always happens. Last series, happened for every episode. It is impossible to watch a new episode of Doctor Who [or QI, incidentally] in peace except for if everyone else is out which is always nice. 
I'm sitting here now and there's no noise or drama or anything. 
It's waiting. 
Waiting for six o'clock. 
 
I mean it's not the most important thing in the world but it is annoying when you're trying to actually pay attention
