I like how I seem to be the only one I know who is completely apathetic regarding loving or hating the royal wedding 
 
I mean there was that guy who dressed a dalek up in union jacks and pictures of the happy couple and holding a tray to serve sandwiches 
and I felt sorry for the dalek 
that's not how they should be treated 
 
and my mother bought gingerbread men designed to look like the couple 
I think 
the groom appears to be wearing see-through trousers 
still they're hilarious 
 
but 
er 
the wedding itself 
I'm not bothered. I mean congratulations to them 
which I feel obliged to say against the animosity I keep tripping over 
maybe I'm just spectacularly talented at avoiding the brunt of the media frenzy that's pissing everyone off

i've just stayed away from anything to do with the royal wedding

its overdone too much to get genuinely excited over and i'm not going to be excited about anything the royals do until we have the Royal Family 100 Meter Dash in the 2012 olympics (i can still dream)

yes i think the royals are a funny old bunch but as far as LOVING THEIR WEDDING or GRR THEY CAN GO AWAY FOREVER its like who cares good god just not have terrestrial TV and be a tumblr-based troglodyte like me it works wonders for avoiding the royal wedding

all like prince phillip avoiding any scale that sounds vaguely ethnic staying to a nice clean major scale

prince charles getting completely the wrong idea and playing a oaten wheatcake acoustic ballad

queen two-handed tapping all over the minor pentatonic scales gracefully sliding up and down the guitar neck in her dainty gloves

ywgnie malmsteen-esque arpeggios coming out all like if she were shooting a gun and the notes be dancing all like IS THIS FAST ENOUGH YOUR MAJESTY IS THIS FAST ENOUGH and she's like NO

for the last few days there's a vein or something at the end of my nose which won't stop pulsing and it's very strange it feels as though there's a hair constantly brushing against it but there isn't aaargh 
 
how does that even happen is that even a thing that happens to people? 
 
also apparently my sister is back home

I thought that the idea of, you know, "find yourself a job or leave home" was to actually stick to it? for longer than a few days 
she still hasn't found a job.. while she was living here she wasn't even looking for work, just sleeping all day and going out every evening.. hadn't even signed on.. or made any plans to go back to college 
oh well 
apparently she won the sympathy war so she's been allowed back 
back to arguing and shouting every day 
unless those three days of ~independence ~ really knocked it into her that she's got to do something other than pinch money and stay out all night... fgs she's spent longer than that away from home with her friends anyway 
doubt that it has somehow 
mum's in the kitchen crying right now 
 
also I can feel a headache of despair destruction and death coming on 
and I'm going to be out all day today

Not a chance, the media are going to have a field day  with this, it'll be all over the news for at least the next month, in a couple days they'll be "spotted walking for the first time on the street as a married couple" and the week after it'll be the follow up story "the wedding conspiracy"....as you can tell....it bugs me xP
