I never evolve Ivysaur into venusaur. I find Ivysaur really beautiful and Venusaur ugly, even the names.

Pokemon White marks the first time I was able to catch a Gligar for myself, and I gotta say it grew on me quicker than I thought it would. I'm rather indifferent to Gliscor, so I'm not in a hurry to go and evolve my first Gligar ever into one.

As for Gen V Pokemon, I like Chandelure, but Lampent is so much cuter. I'll wait to catch/breed for another Litwick and evolve that one into a Chandelure if I must...
