My first shiny was a Luvdisc.

BTW I have TERRIBLE luck with shinies. My first shiny was Gyarados, of course. The Luvdisc was a trade, but I got it before the Gyarados mission. I was so happy. Then, I traded it away for some other shiny. Who knows where that Luvdisc is today...

Seriously, you only battle one of your rivals once!...ONCE!

Triumph: One-shotted Steven's Metagross with a Vulpix.
Failure: So used to Battle Spot Singles that when I was battling in a Link Battle, I forgot that it was not in the Battle Spot and accidentally only picked three Pokes to enter instead of six. I lost, big-time.
That Goodra may have 399 Special Defense and an Assault Vest, but I'm pretty sure it couldn't stand up to 6 Pokes in a row.

Ever since X/Y, I have taken no liberty in completing the National Dex. First of all, there are 721 of them now, and I let Wonder Trade do the rest of the work for me.
Wonder Trade was one of my favorite features in X/Y, I keep it running all the time beside my computer. It is open right now as I'm writing this. No wonder my 3DS backlight is wearing out.

Vulpix is adorable and good at battling. I refuse to evolve mine in ORAS.
But, looking at my name, Sylveon (Eevee also) are pretty adorable.

The first shiny I ever CAUGHT was Gyarados in HGSS, of course.
The first shiny I ever received was a shiny Luvdisc. I traded it away ASAP.
