I saw it last night and I thought it was a brilliant start for the new series

Rex made the awesome sig <3

Sakura
Thanks to Psychic Fire for my adorable Ledyba

Thanks Jaze Briena for my Ledyba recoloured as Glaceon =)

Ew.. the whole fat-wrenching-away-from-your-body-and-walking-off thing was kinda creepy to me xD Although they were bizarrely cute. Yes, it was a nice non-dramatic first episode, lovely start to the series.

The bit at the beginning where The Doctor and Donna kept missing each other was brilliant, and the little conversation across the office. And when The Doctor said "Unless she has a sonic device, too, which I highly doubt" or something.. you just knew she was going to xD

It'll be nice and refreshing to have an assistant who DOESN'T fancy The Doctor. And it was nice to hear that he finally appreciates Martha.

But really.. when Donna was talking to a blonde girl who resolutely kept her face turned away from the camera at first, it was so going to be Rose. Although I am surprised it's so early in the series.

So I take it Rose ll be this series's equivalent to Bad Wolf, Torchwood and Mr Saxon then?

What makes you say that? Lots of people are, but I wonder why?

There's not really much to suggest she'll feature again until episode 11.

She could be spotted all over time and space. By people who won't reconisge her.

It was more like the older episodes because the villain was a humanoid.
Fires of Pompeii has rock monsters! And witches with eyes on their hands!

EDIT:
I've just thought of a rating system! We rate them using monsters! The scarier the monsters are, the better the episodes are! So Adipose are a terrible episode and Weeping Angels are absolutely amazing episodes. Ok it could be flawed but it's unique? Isn't it?

Unique.. and utterly ridiculous.

Besides, moral ambiguity's the key thing with this episode's antagonists.

Could you tell me what moral ambiguity is?

Little preview. The wasp in The Unicorn and the Wasp is called the Vespiform. In the Sontaran Stratagem, UNIT will return to fight the Sontarans.

Didnt see or hear anything that might be repeated episode after episode like the other 3 things.

Just you watch, Rose wondering about in Roman get up next week... XD

Like, not really clear whether they're good or bad.. Just doing what they do for the reasons they do them. I mean, Miss Foster thought she was just doing her job. There was a good end, even via less than savoury means. And the Adipose weren't evil, were they - as the Doctor said, they couldn't help where they came from. So what I meant was, the 'villains' aren't really all good or all bad.. or really villains at all. It was ambiguous.

I guess... and I wouldn't complain about that.  ;)

But you don't know what we might have missed.. after all, how many times did we really pick up on it saying 'Bad Wolf' until it was spelt out for us in Boom Town?

RTD has said that there are no arch-words for this series, but somethying that will come together in the final episodes. He said something about the Medusa Cascade.

Turtlejosh

He said it has to do with something the Master said at the end of the last series.

And he did mention the rift at Medusa Cascade.

I noticed Bad Wolf way before Boom Town.

.Wolfie-kun.

I seem to be the only one out of my friends who likes Rose for some reason (The ones who watch this anyways) They think both Martha and Donna are better. Meh, opinion I suppose.

Anyways, I don't understand how Donna was speaking to her, I thought she was trapped in the parallel world? But then I thought, her fading away and no one noticing could possibly mean she is some sort of spirit or something. I'm somewhat intrigued now. XD

What was THAT? Adipose? Erm, IMO, that was a BAD opening episode.

Episode 7 sounds promising. Giant wasps! And ep3 for Ood.

Is there an episode by that guy who wrote The Empty Child and Blink this time round? Hope so, they were both amazing. Girl in the Fireplace was alright I guess.

Steven Moffat's double parter is later in the series, the names are Silence in the Libary and River Run's. Girl in the Fireplace won an award. The same director though who did Girl in the Fireplace will be directing the Moffat double parter.
