Name: Joshua (Josh) Rose

Age and Gender: 14 and Male

Description: Josh stands at 5'6" but is still growing. He isn't too skinny, but he is not out of shape. His eyes are a pale, misty blue and his hair is messy and rather long. His hair colour is normally described as 'dirty blonde'. Josh likes to wear jeans with a t-shirt and hoodie. He doesn't like wearing formal clothes.

Personality: Josh is very outgoing and enjoys making new friends. He likes to battle and is not one to stand down from a challenge; this frequently gets him caught up in trouble though.

History: Josh was born in Azalea town, Johto. From a young age he has been interested in bug Pokémon, some of this interest coming from Bugsy's Gym. Josh is aspiring to be the best bug trainer ever and has been training his Pokémon since he was 12.

Josh came from quite a poor background, so has been doing voluntary jobs since he was around 10. He has helped out around town doing community work, but now wants to follow his dream of being the best Bug catcher and trainer in the world, as well as an artist!

Kakuna evolved from Weedle while training in Lavender town. It still urges for battles, but is finding it hard to adjust to it's new body.

Yanma was a prize Josh received for winning the bug catching contest various times. Yanma is a relatively new part of Josh's team, so isn't fully tamed and makes rash decisions. However, Yanma is very strong.

Cubone is the outsider of Josh's team, being his only non-bug Pokémon. Josh did not capture Cubone, but took it off of a Rocket member that was abusing Cubone and was going to leave it in Mt. Moon to fend for itself. Josh plans to give Cubone the love and attention it needs to become more courageous.
During the second battle with Cubone's previous owner, Josh managed to unlock Cubone's special attack - Hidden Power. This move has devastating force on both Cubone and the opponent.
