got back to the flat, went to bed, woke up at about ten, ate a sandwich, and now I feel much better. 
content, if not happy.

Two cups of tea, successful booking of a ticket to go home for the weekend [something will undoubtedly go wrong at some point, but i'll find out what that is when it happens], Fry & Laurie sketches*, and a good book sitting there ready to be read after I've eaten. 
 
It makes me slightly bewildered to realise that who I miss most is in fact my dog. 
Possibly because I talk to my family on the phone, so it's not such a big thing to be away from them. 
For someone with such a sharply-defined comfort zone, my tolerance of being so far from home is surprising.

That lush feeling where you spend hours frazzling your brain over a maths problem.. and then suddenly realise that you know the answer. And when you check with other people, the majority of them couldn't do it, but the select few that could got the same answer as you.

Such a rush oh my gosh.
This is why I love my subject.
