Its David Tennant every time, although i never watched the old episodes, old TV gives me the creeps, i can't watch it!!!

As for Matt Smith.....meh.....he's funny but not nearly as awesome as Tennant

Blah blah blah, spoilers below blah.

Ahhh, there's the awesome ideas of Moffat I was looking for. XD The markings were genius, as was the fooling the Silence into their deaths, though I guess they'll be around for longer. And we have our season long mystery, the little girl.

"We have to find out who that little girl is....or let's have some adventures instead!" XD

Next week should be killer. Pirates, killer mermaid ands Amy as a pirate (To hell with people's critiziums, she wins another 20 points for dressing as a pirate :P). Lovely. :3

All I can say.

Well, the reason I fell in love with Doctor Who isn't Matt Smith (though I love him as the new Doctor), but rather that Stephen Moffat is at the helm. But that little snippet at the end with the girl makes me intrigued.

(Spoiler: I'm interested in why she is regenerating. I still believe it might have something to do with the Silence. But with the internet is going, I think a lot of people are going to assume it is lovechild of the Doctor and Amy.)

Also, I love the Silence. They are pretty much tied with the Weeping Angels for best non-traditional Doctor Who villain.

oh my god if jenny were to return it would make my day

yeah, lovechild is the theory I'm seeing. And my opinion on that is the same as River being the Doctor's wife: it would fit, but it's far too obvious

Moffat doesn't seem to like to do obvious. I mean that level of obvious anyway, where it all seems to be pointing to something over a long period of time. He likes misdirection and weird things, and I just get the feeling that he's quite proud when he manages to scare or trick people.
If those ARE what it turns out to be, I shall be disappoint.

Eh, maybe Jenny. Maybe another Time Lady? I know that in episode 4 we'll see an old friend with a new face or something.. maybe.. I forget

The positive/negative thing from the part of the TARDIS that doubles as a pregnancy test seems to imply that... the machine detects the baby and then forgets about it? Maybe...?

Anyway.
I did love this episode, as well as the last one.
Of course there are so many more questions asked than the ones answered. Typical eh

Still love the Silence. They're a definite favourite for me. Them and the Ood are my favourite alien critters. So apparently I can't get enough of bald monsters in suits. Satirical joke about somebody bald goes here.
I hope that they return.
And I'd like to see Canton again perhaps. Though judging with how the first episode kicked off I suspect that he might do?

Also, I rather adore River the more I see her.

Also also, Rory in suit and spectacles. Can't help but approve.

Mind you, Amy was asleep for a few days. Who knows what the Silence could of done to her in that time... o.o

Didn't River as good as say she was the doctor's wife in the library thing?

Anyway, really enjoyed today's episode. Last of the timelords my butt. Am interested in connections between the Silence and the Timelords, what with the whole building a TARDIS thing and then

This is going to be an interesting series I think.

^not really, as far as I can remember.. she knew his name.. and he said that there was only one way she could know that
which could be a wedding or something
and basically said ~oh we had such lovely times~
and he had given her his screwdriver to save her life.. don't know when he did that, she doesn't seem to have it now.
and now we have the kiss

like i said
i'm out of ideas
but if she is his wife
i will be disappointed

also we have episode 4 called "the doctor's wife" but we don't find out who river is until episode 7 I believe..
WHO KNOWS

i just want it to be something ridiculous and unexpected that's all >:

EMPIRE

hmmm!!!

i think she's a guardian angel of sorts sent from a higher authority to protect him for damaging pivotal moments in the universe that have to happen for some reason. buuuuuuuuut by falling in love with the doctor she broke her vow or w/e and became a time agent to continue to meet him. this time though in the wrong order andand the man she killed was...

blah blah imagination working over time!

i really loved the end to the episode though, rather shoked =D

Evil Deathclaw

I think the Girl is River, River is a Time Lord, And Amy is River's Mother.
~TNAfan121~

lets all go out for some frosty chocolate milkshakes

bizarre speculation -

the baby is the doctors (or riversongs? or maybe the silence did something so that the baby is rorys but somehow timelord) but because i dunno if a timelord body can do pregnancy?
they implanted it into amy so she could host it instead perhaps

or maybe it's a quantum baby (and giving birth to it collapses it into a wavefunction of existing and not existing i dunno)

something or other happens with the child and everything kind of goes wrong and the offspring kind of has to be chased through time and rubbed out of existence very sad etc. etc. could be riversong as a matter of fact for all we know

and so they have lots of dramatic fights and the timeline is sealed off from the 'alpha timeline' (har, putting homestuck thought into this one)

the doctor or someone else kills the 100 years later doctor to close the time loop and make sure it comes to an end and never interferes with the real timeline? meanwhile the timeline in which this doesnt happen still continues onward and next season and 12th and 13th doctors happen usw.

thats my off-the-top-of-the-head theory anyway i'm sure it's full of holes

(i wonder if the master is returning? could be the old person with new face)

I seem to remember the companion (I forget if it was Martha or Donna then) asking if she was the doctor's wife. River asked if she really thought it could be anything so simple with the Doctor. Companion said yes. "Good Girl," was river's response

Sebastian Moran

I don't remember that at all
maybe I should watch it again
[yeah, it was donna]

but if it was stated that she is his wife then what is all this hoo-hah about "who is she"?

Insinuated, never stated as such. And the doctor wasn't there. I'm sure it's something more than that of course. I presume she's got something to do with shooting him.
