The best piece of advice that I've been given is probably from my dad:
"If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
Well, I remember him saying it rather a lot.

So it's not my fault; I was raised as a sceptical pessimist.

I had my shirt signed at the end of the (last) school year, I always keep a certian name at the front, kinda keeps me calm ya know?

I know whats right and wrong, and I can see the clear line between the two, something that not many people my age seem to be able to see...

All the way through my life my schools have been up a hill, now for the first time ever, my college is going to be down hill!

I think ahead, like that time we all had to jump off this high wall, it was not a desired option on how to get down, but it was the only option, an 11-12ft drop, kinda suckish.

I'd say that right and wrong are merely a term for people's opinions of other's actions. It's not as though there's anything black and white: it depends on one's company and current position. Some judgements have a stronger backing them than others, with a bedrock of common practice built up over years or perhaps centuries, whereas others require some debate in order to settle upon one decision or the other. That's why we have courtrooms and juries and judges, and call our opinions right and wrong and justice and evil.
Right and wrong can be twisted by a clever person desiring a certain outcome. Therefore the only thing to trust is the facts themselves, not what is done with them.

So saying that your moral compass is perfectly tuned, and that you have the ability to know good and bad... that to me sounds like you also have an opinion on what is wrong and right, and will trust your own opinions more than anybody else's, declaring theirs incorrect if they disagree with yours.
So, the same as everybody else on the planet.

That's my... opinion.

Then again, perhaps that merely proves your point, ohoho.

Its more of the "cheating is wrong" part and "killing is wrong part" the obvious stuff.

Moon Chaser

I've been listening to a lot of metal and any similar music recently.

And yet that's only the opinions of the person being cheated, for example.
if you can cheat and don't get caught, that may show tenacity. It might show thinking outside the box and cunning. If it gets results, and the results are for something "right", then the cheating itself could be considered an admirable path to take.
Depends where you draw the line. Someone jumping a queue to catch the last train home to see their family: usually the sort of thing you'd have some cheesy music played over the top of in a film. Someone cheating a rich and selfish businessman out of his money tends to be applauded.

[for killing, there are things like capital punishment, warfare, self-defence, protection, etc etc, not to mention comparing killing humans to killing other animals and for what reasons]

I still can't help but believe that everything just depends on which side of the fence one is sitting.
If someone cheated me out of something, I'd be infuriated and declare it wrong. But if I think it's the best course of action and gets results, I won't guarantee that I won't try it myself.
Unless, of course, my own opinions for what is "right" decide that I shouldn't.

It's merely where people draw their own borderlines.

Hum.
Where were we? Banal facts?
I enjoy having long and musing discussions of ridiculous things.

When out and about with my friends I will always be the one against doing anything bad.

I sorta enjoy slamming people with my Jeremy Kyle skills, always fun.
