The New Eevee May Be A Flying Type

I really can't see how it could be a flying type. If they were to make it a flying type surely they'd make it more obvious, being an Eeveelution and big player into the introduction of gen6?

I honestly think it's going to be a normal type, with the (very VERY) small possibility of being either a bug type (for reasons already mentioned on this thread) or fighting type (in a similar vein to Mienshao, who honestly doesn't look like a fighting type at all).

People on other sites keep mentioning the light type, but the fact is that conventional light is created by either fire or electricity anyway, both of which are accounted for. Creating a light type would just be pointless.

There's always a possibility it's named after a Sylph http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylph, which is a type of air spirit. Which sort of fits into the Nymph / Fairy naming patterns for the Japanese/French and German names.

I thought it came from Sylvester Stallone? You know, Sylveon=Sylvester Stallone

And besides, "sylph" sounds like Silph Co.

firstly where did you hear this
secondly it looks nothing like a "cyber" pokemon would. if it was surely it'd be more grey, glowy blue eyes, etc? :/

Anyway, if the new Eevee is a flying type, then I want to see some high attack and high special attack stats.

             Nintendo and Game Freak could just be puling our strings, and could completely catch us of gaurd. Think about Golduck. Trust me, you thought this was a Psychic type, didn't you? The only thing that shouldn't happen is new eveelution that's the same type as another. So I think that if they try to trick us with sylveon's looks, then I would say Steel or Ghost type. I'm always hoping for cool new ghost types, because they give us so little Ghost types with each new Generation. I also want a sreel eeveelution because have never even used a steel type in any case.

Another possibility would be that Sylveon may be a "Fairy-type" and not any of the 17 types currently on offer, let alone the different combinations given.
