Is that because you can't bare the thought of insulting me, even if the insult would only be a secondary meaning that wasn't meant?  You seem confused, you tell me to shut up but you can't bare the thought you may be insulting me in anyway, to prevent further confusion I think you should shut up.

No sh*t your brain tells you that, but why do you think we need the clarification? By the way we have told you to shut up. You can't tell people to shut up better than other people when it is typed. Even in speech if you thought you were telling someone to shut up better than someone else it would be opinion because the reasons would have to be based on how they spoke, voice etc.
So you shut up.

Actually, you can tell it better than others, in the bits around the shut up. For example:

'Shut up'
'Shut up, you moron'

Although both are terrible ways of saying shut up, the second is better.
