I can do: Recolors, some animation (minor - things like floating, appearing/disappearing etc. I can edit existing animations (such as my avatar) too, but not a lot.). My apparent best talent is making everything transparent though. Might start retypes in the future, but not yet.

Other: I do a lot of my work on photoshop but occasionally might move to paint if it's more convenient.

EDIT:OH the backround! cool. im assuming you can only do that in photoshop... UNLESS I can get the color code(Hue, saturation, etc.)... but yeah thanks. wait... I forgot theres more than one color on PKMN.NET... crap

You can do it using certain websites too, but it's just easier in photoshop.

Paint.net... downloadable program. its like photoshop's little brother... I can use that to make my sprites transparent also... WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THIS!

You have to save it specially. Instead of doing save as, do 'save for web and devices' and then instead of fiddling with the settings just do 'save'. Save it as images only and it'll come up with the animated gif... you don't need the html unless you plan to work with it in a website or something, I think.

Did you make sure to animate it frame-by-frame?
